25.01.2022 CASE STUDY: Left shoulder pain Female 40 years young, desk job, presenting left shoulder pain and burning sensation 6/10 which can vary in intensity. Worse during the day and generally with lack of movement of the shoulder. Certain exercises will also aggravate the area. 1st Session- Electro- acupuncture using predominantly local points on left shoulder... TREATMENT OUTCOME- pain and burning sensation reduced to ache 3-4/10 followed by some soreness next day from the treatment and then the day after no pain even after some exercising. Also improved mobility as well as functionality of left shoulder 2nd Session- week later, there were pain free days between 1st and 2nd session but the pain slightly returned with some minor burning sensation. Due to excessive tightness of the muscles in left shoulder I've suggested some remedial massage and then acupuncture. TREATMENT OUTCOME- no pain after the session which lasted a bit longer than last time and then some pressure is felt 1-2/10 but no pain or burning sensation. 3rd Session- remedial massage and acupuncture combination TREATMENT OUTCOME- just slight pressure towards the end of the week but no pain or burning. Also able to do some exercises that she couldn't have done for long time without aggravating the shoulder. CONCLUSION- most of our daily pains and aches are easily and effectively treated with acupuncture and massage. Commonly, mild to moderate pain or disfunction is fixed or significantly managed with 3 to 5 session (1/2 or 3/4 of an hour sessions)

22.01.2022 Back to exercise? Whether you are just starting or being in it for a while make sure you take care of injuries before they become serious and chronic. Moderately strained muscles will result in neurological response whereby nervous system will cause muscle and connective tissue to tighten up in order to limit the movement of injured area. This loss of flexibility in tissue will impact your performance and technique and if you decide to ignore it you may end up with serious tear. Early intervention can get you back on track faster and it will cost you less. PRESERVE YOUR BODY IF YOU WANT IT TO LAST THE DISTANCE

16.01.2022 Researchers conclude that acupuncture increases the effectiveness of rehabilitation exercises after knee meniscus repair surgery. [1] Patients receiving acupun...cture in a controlled clinical trial had less quadriceps atrophy, limping, locking, pain, and swelling than patients receiving only rehabilitation exercises. Patients receiving acupuncture also had significantly better range of motion, stability, and the ability to walk, jump, and climb stairs. Results The results indicate that acupuncture combined with functional training into an integrated treatment protocol is more effective than functional training as a stand alone therapy. Sun et al. conclude that acupuncture is safe and effective for speeding up knee joint recovery after arthroscopic meniscus repair surgery. 01.01.2022 Benefits of tapping- Rigid vs Kinesiology Tape Tapping is widely used these days in management of pain and injury. It can be also used as a tool in postural correction. The role of tapping is mostly to support injured area between treatments. What's the difference between rigid and Kinesiology tape?... Rigid tape is mostly used to provide support, stability and restriction of joint movement. In conditions where there is a significant wear and tear of articulating surfaces in joints, weakness and overstretched ligaments this tape can provide reasonable support therefore reducing the pain and irritability of the area. Kinesiology tape on the other hand is more suitable for muscular strain. Due to its elasticity the tape provides support through muscular contraction and stretching. If applied appropriately it can maximize the use of muscles without irritating the injured area of muscles.
