08.01.2022 TOYOTA CONFIRMS GR YARIS RALLYE PRICING Toyota's special-edition GR Yaris Rallye performance car will be launched in Australia in March with an introductory offer of $56,200 drive away. The introductory offer price will apply to the first 200 cars, after which the price will move to the official recommended retail price of $54,500 plus on-road costs.... GR Yaris Rallye promises an even richer experience for enthusiasts who want to take their cars to the track. Building on the 200kW GR Yaris, the special-edition model is equipped with performance upgrades that make it an even more focused, high-speed performance package designed for circuit racing. It features circuit-tuned suspension, Torsen limited-slip differentials on the front and rear axles and 18-inch BBS forged alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S3 tyres. Toyota also confirmed that any future stock of GR Yaris, potentially arriving in the second half of 2021, will be priced at the recommended retail price of $49,500 plus on road costs. Back in September, Toyota announced its go-to-market strategy. The official RRP made perfect sense with GR Yaris competing head-to-head against pure performance cars in the segment costing more than $50,000. Not being content with that, Toyota wanted to ignite the performance-car market. by broadening the awareness and appeal of the GR brand. With the employment of the go-to-market strategy, Toyota has seen an increase in the new-to the Toyota brand purchaser. Toyota’s strategy was built on a significant local investment... an aggressive driveaway offer, limited to the first 1,000 cars. The first 1,000 were snapped up within a week. The strong retail demand was fueled by releasing a further 100 cars - at a new price point, but still well below the RRP. The faith was maintained with the promise to the first 1,000 customers that they were receiving a limited offer. Toyota expects to deliver around 550 of these 1,100 cars by Christmas... and the balance by April next year. Toyota plans to roll out more of the GR Yaris specification vehicles later next year, when these vehicles arrive into showrooms down under, they will be priced at the RRP... $49,500 plus on-road costs which is news that will delight the enthusiasts who got in early. Even at full RRP, GR Yaris is excellent value and highly competitive against its performance-car rivals. The last piece of the puzzle is the GR Yaris Rallye edition. As with the GR Yaris, Toyota will no doubt excite as many fans as possible by ensuring this special-edition Rallye model is genuinely attainable. 08.01.2022 37 YEAR OLD 40 SERIES SURVIVOR SOLD BY US NEW RETURNS FOR BRIEF VISIT. Boekeman Toyota celebrated 38 Years in 2020 as your local Toyota Dealer here in the Wheatbelt. Last week, one vehicle that Boekeman Toyota sold from that first year operating as a Toyota Dealer found its way back to our Wongan Hills Dealership. Sold new to well known Farmers in the Koorda area on 15th June 1983, this Toyota LandCruiser HJ47 is now a rare well sought after survivor today, that is still ori...ginal apart from the wide tyres and rims. Showing some 37 years of patina to some areas of the exterior and interior, the 4.2 Litre 2H Diesel Engine powering this HJ47 has travelled 253,620Kms over the 37 year period. Ownership of the LandCruiser has only recently been past onto the second owner after almost four decades in the hands of the original owner from June 1983. The new owner has plans to fully restore the vehicle to how the HJ47 first arrived into our Dealership when new all those years ago, treating the vehicle to a full mechanical, interior, body and paint overhaul and restoration which is expected to take all of two or three years. Restored or well kept original 40 Series Toyota LandCruiser vehicles today are rare, and are now highly collectable, considering that this vehicle’s 1983 price when new would of been around 18K. Top condition examples or full nut/bolt body off chassis restorations today would command nearly three to four times that value. Sadly this old LandCruiser will no longer reside here or around the Wheatbelt, but the new owner does have plans to revisit us once again in the future when the restoration of this fine old LandCruiser has been completed.
