23.01.2022 This is the farmhouse that I have scratch built for the layout. I was fortunate for it to come second place in the structure competition at the Australian Narrow Gauge convention in Geelong

20.01.2022 I have been working in the garden at the farmhouse. I need to properly install the fence and some gates to keep the cattle out

20.01.2022 I have been making some deciduous trees for the village of Buckland. I started with some prunings from a crabapple and added super trees for the branches. A light coat of grey paint ties it all together. I then used a spray adhesive to add Noch leaves. I am pretty happy with how the first one turned out.

18.01.2022 Some latest progress shots. None of the scenes are complete yet but I am working on the layout. Recent additions include working semaphore signals built by Bernard Snoodyk, a station sign on the mallee shed at Coolamine, a new backdrop at Gidgenbung and the trees are slowly covering the hillsides

17.01.2022 I have started to install the farmhouse on the layout. I am very pleased on how well it fits into the landscape

10.01.2022 there is a new business opening in the village of Buckland. Hunter & Green is the place to get your grocery & hardware needs. I still need to add an interior and details and it could be awhile before it is properly installed on the layout

10.01.2022 My project for this past summer has been trying to get the Coolamine area completed. The last major build I needed to do, was the stockyards. It was a more complex build than it looks as I made working gates and there seemed to be a zillion nbw castings to install. With it now bedded in and the grass growing like it should, I am pleased how the scene has finished up. A few more small details to add, this section of the layout will be complete.

09.01.2022 Some fantastic weathering by Stephen Postma

09.01.2022 A new station building at Gidgenbung. It is a model of the VR station at Erica on the Walhalla branch. The model is scratch built using Mt Albert lumber for board on board construction. Windows and doors are Grandt Line, corrugated iron is from Model O kits and the guttering is scratch built from styrene

08.01.2022 I have just updated my blog,http://bogonggeehirailway.blogspot.com.au//australian-narr with some photos of the Australian narrow gauge convention held over Easter in Geelong

05.01.2022 Every second Easter the Australian Narrow Gauge Convention is held and this year it was in Gosford. I always try to take a model for the contest room and this was my entry for the flats challenge. The model building could be no more than 300mm wide 100mm deep and 200 mm high. I hand carved the brickwork into PVC foam. The figures are 3d printed from the UK and painted by me. I am planning to use the garage in the town of Buckland on the layout

02.01.2022 A little bit of train spotting today. The up train from Mt Bogong heading back down the hill
