12.01.2022 Principal’s Paragraph Dear Parents, Caregivers and Community Members We have many reasons to celebrate at Bohlevale. We had a fantastic representation of students and parents in the ANZAC Day March along Thuringowa Drive. We are in the process of creating a handprint mural in recognition of this effort. ... Yesterday, the Senior Guidance officer who manages the Positive Behaviour Support schools in the region spent the day at our school gathering data about the effectiveness of the process here. She has told us that we should all be very proud of our achievements to date. Last week I received some lovely feedback from the Deputy Principal at another school. He was the umpire of the hockey game on Thursday during interschool sports. I thought it would be worthwhile sharing it with you in this newsletter: Just a short good news story about your hockey team. Yesterday ********* and Bohle played each other and with 5mins to go it was nil all. ********* shot the ball toward Bohle’s goal and your goal keeper blocked the ball and kicked it away. I was back from the play thinking the ball hadn't crossed the line however two of your students informed me the ball had crossed the goal line. They didn't have to and they could have easily said it was a 'no goal' and I would have agreed. The honesty, integrity and sportsmanship shown by your players is something to be proud of. After the game I sat both teams down and explained the game was played in the best spirit and that's what sport is about. Congratulations for having such a fine group of young people at your school. On Assembly over the past couple of weeks, I have reinforced with the students that our school rule of Be Responsible means making good choices and doing the right thing at all times even when we think no-one is watching. So it is wonderful to hear about our students doing just that and in a public forum where they are representing our school. I look forward to hearing many more positive stories about our students and our school. With kind regards Loretta Swayn Principal available from the school office.
