23.01.2022 Beautiful people beautiful plant storytime Today, I received a timid knock at the front door today, from very cute smiling little lady, holding a large paper bag. I recognised her as the lady who walks past my house and waves, a sweet non English speaking neighbour from two houses up my street. She smiled and showed me her bag and handed it to me. Inside it, Four delicious looking dragonfruit ( yes, there’s only three here I ate one and yes, very delicious)... She wasn’t able to say anything fluently in English, but her huge smile and beautiful crimson coloured fruit offering, said it all. I thanked her very much. We introduced ourselves by name and as quickly as she arrived, she left. I added them to my fruit and yogurt bowl as you can see, and it was so yummy. What a beautiful exchange from a neighbour, I hadn’t met previously: the gift of fresh fruit and a smile that made my day. 15.01.2022 What you see here is something rare that's being described as what happens when a rainbow falls apart. It’s actually a rainbow being diffused by scattered raindrops which reflect off the clouds behind it. If the clouds were gone it would just be a regular rainbow.
