24.01.2022 With so many of you joining our Everlasting Blooms list lately and Wedding enquiries flowing in, I feel an update is needed to keep you all in the loop. As you may expect, Covid19 has heavily impacted the flower industry, like many others. Many flowers had to be destroyed, imports and freight stopped and now delayed So as many other florists have shared, here are some things to understand on how this will impact florists now and probably for the next 3 -6 months (if not lo...nger!) Limited Stock: Australia relies very heavily on imports for our flowers, especially Perth. The shipments are few and far in-between so we don't have the same variety or guarantee of blooms. We 100% support our local farms and businesses but they are also limited and cannot cater for all florists in the state. Transport: With limited flights and transport regulations you can image there are not only delays for orders but also the costs are much higher too. I ordered some stock from Greece and paid $200 for delivery... Just to give you some insight Winter & cold weather: Cold temps, bad weather and winter generally means limited and smaller volumes of flowers/foliage. Proteas will be limited for a few months because we source them locally and dry and preserve them in the studio. As it's winter they are no longer in season. Increased demand: With social distancing and a trend for dried flowers, keeping up with the demand is a struggle and means more resources are needed and we need to source broadly to meet the demand. So don't be disheartened if prices slightly increase and if you cant get the exact flower types. I bet, your florist will do an exceptional job regardless. And just think... having flowers at your wedding or a dried arrangement in your home post-covid19 will be a blessing and will bring you many moments of joy :) Hopefully, things will return to normal as soon as possible Thank you to everyone for there continued support and understanding #Perthflowers #perthflorist #weddingflowers #weddingflorist #perth

It's been a crazy few months and a very sad time too, working with many of our brides to postpone their weddings, creating blooms for small ceremonies seeking silver linings and special moments and creating our dried flower arrangements in the quiet time which has become a hot trend! We loved the colours and design of the flowers we did for their wedding. Channeling "Moody" with burgandy blooms and lots of texture and foilage. 09.01.2022 Simple but Effective - this is a common center piece for our boho brides. We often have Brides who are looking for affordable options for their guest tables but something that still has an impact. Laid foilage is a great option and we always use an assortment of foilage to add fullness and texture.
