It doesn't matter what age you are, getting up close to native creatures and learning about them brings understanding, respect and in turn, the passion to protect.

22.01.2022 While Autumn sees the end of the main bird breeding season, some of our other natives are still quite busy and our native Brushtail Possum is one of them. Each year Bohollow receives many calls about possums in roof and wall cavities which people would like us to remove. This time of year is major peak time for this species to breed, so often people become more privy to their presence due to the squabbling and fighting between possums which can cause quite a racket. 20.01.2022 When you book Bohollow EnviroEd's wildlife education service, a large percent of the proceeds go right back into saving our native wildlife. This video is appropriate today as we have just released the first Wood Ducklings this morning for the season. Many native orphaned ducklings are raised at Bohollow each year and when they are ready to fly, they are released at our rehabilitation dam where they can be supported until they choose to leave. This video was taken 5 years ago today.

15.01.2022 With the recent rains the sounds of frogs is becoming quite loud, especially at night. It's quite common to be able to hear frogs but not see them. Here is a fantastic reason why. These are Peron's Tree Frogs. Their call is one that is very distinctive. They are fantastic at camouflage, with the ability to change their skin colour to match their surroundings. Everyone who has never touched a snake before a pleasantly surprised by how smooth and cool they feel. If anyone sees someone taking fallen timber and trees from protected areas, including roadsides, please record number plates and report. This is a massive problem and is degrading habitat with disastrous effects
