25.01.2022 RIP John Bruderlin Snr. John founded Lynx some 60 years ago and was a pioneer in the automotive manufacturing world. Originally called Bruderlin & Thomas, he ...produced Lynx open wheeler race cars (mostly formula junior), sidewinder race boats, sold over 2,250,00 Ramflo air filters and even purchased Jack Brabham Aviation from the great man. He was an amazing businessman and engineer and simply made things happen. As an example, I recollect a story he told me. It was around 1970 and a customer drove his E Type into Lynx on a Monday morning. The man was interested in purchasing triple Webers (Dellortos actually as Lynx was the appointed distributor). John told the customer this was fine and to leave the car and return on Friday. At the time, Lynx didn’t have a manifold to suit the Jag, but the customer didn’t know that. In 5 days they disassembled, measured, made patterns for sand casting, cast the parts, machined, installed, tuned and delivered the car back to customer as promised. This would be an impossible task even with today’s technology. Just over 4 years ago we purchased Lynx from John, and whilst much smaller than its once 150 strong workforce, continue to make the products he designed before man was even on the moon! 18.01.2022 We had great day with the HRA the Rally Retro Festival at METEC over 60 classic Rally cars of which I was lucky to be invited to take part For those didn’t come all they missed is some the classic ex Australian champions like Bob Watson , Ed Ordynski,Neil Bates and many others Many thanks to the team of the HRA for putting on top event I can wait to see the next one in 2 years

13.01.2022 Well its a Rap for BOI Performance 2019, I trust all my customers my friends have had a very good year. I have fun working with you all, We all have had some really good wins in both Track & Rally, I am again doing Targa Tas next year, & Targa High Country next year in the 131, I am planning to take my 124 Spyder out for a few Race meetings next year in group S & the Alfa challenge next year. 13.01.2022 Well some times you just have to think out side the box to balance a set of carbs in a MGA on twin cam on twin 40 DCOE

11.01.2022 We have just finished a project for a 240 Z fast track car removing old set of Weber 40 DCOE's set up a New BO Performance 4"cold air box kit, with Heat shields modified the ducting to in front of the Radiator set the new 45 DCOE 152 plus new jetting to suit, fitted a new Malpassi Fuel Reg see back to back testing with out the cold just the Ram tubes only, then fitted Air box with bonnet closed you can see the Torque gains across the rang and the Extra BHP . (Note we also make a 5"ducting to suit the 3L Plus engines)

08.01.2022 Its been a very buys in the BOI workshop of late while we have been locked down we have been building new Cold air boxes , this is first of new 240/260Z air box now built with a 5"ducting to meat the demands of the 3L Stroked engines these days, we have been doing these as a special for a while.

07.01.2022 We have just finished a hole lot of Dyo tuning after building the new Cold Air box to suit Mini, on 45DCOE running Standard Ramflo Air filter V/S the NEW BOI Cold Air box. using a 4" pod /rev cone Air filter for max air flow The Cold Air box it designed to suit the Mini & Sprite 850 - 1275 DCOE Weber made by Lynx Part No M007

06.01.2022 BOI Performance are still open for business as we are an essential service and will be operating at our full operating and trading hours of 9am-5:00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday by appointment. We are still currently receiving and sending all of our freight . We are enforcing very strict hygiene through out the entire shop especially in our customer service areas and look forward to continue with all your Tuning rebuilding/ reconditioning needs.
