25.01.2022 I think this is what our kids will miss most. We have chicks under 1 week old currently for sale; plus heaps of chicks older up to around 8 weeks or so. Some sexed & unsexed. On and off heat. A few adults still available. Prices depend on age & breed, too many to list individually. Chicks start at $12/ea. With Christmas fast approaching Bollith Poultry believes you CAN purchase animals as a Christmas present WHEN DONE CORRECTLY. However it's important to remember its not a...n animals' job to teach a child about responsibility - that's up to the parents. But what better way to show a child these important lessons than hand raising some adorable fluff-balls, and then being rewarded with some friendly hens who'll lay fresh eggs in a few months' time. 22.01.2022 ALL SOLD **EDIT** I will get back to everyone outside of my working hours & in order that Ive received their PMs. **EDIT 2** SUNDAY! Collection is from SUNDAY evening, people! Not Saturday, not Sunday morning. Thanks ... SURPRISE! We're back!! No, not really. It's been over a year since our mega 'closing down sale', and at that time we deliberately kept some young hens back which we just couldn't part with at the time - either due to sentimental reasons, and/or if we figured if we ever decided to resume breeding again we would have the very best of our bloodlines to kick start us off. Unfortunately, due to life's never-ending commitments, we've made the difficult to decision to sell off another 80% of the hens we have - only keeping the kids 'pets' this time! We have approx 10x Silver Laced Wyandottes, approx 8 buff sussex, and a handful of Dorking hens. I might be able to part with a few other breeds ;) Sorry, NO HOLDS as I simply don't know exactly how many are for sale, and I can't promise what I don't have. All hens are of laying-age. If they're not laying at the moment it's either because we're in the middle of Summer, or because the crazy things think this is a good time to go broody. Hens are missing some feathers due to a few over-enthusiastic roosters when they were going through a molt, which meant the regrowth of feathers were somewhat incomplete. A few dominate hens/roosters have ensured everyone keeps looking as if they've had a fight with a blender. Rest assured, all birds are entirely healthy and all feathers will grow back! For this reason there are no individual photos available, you're welcome to flick through our previous photos to be assured of quality. Hens are regularly wormed, however all can be wormed again free of charge when you collect them, upon request. Collection is from Wundowie WA, approx 45 minutes east of Midland (Please google this before this BEFORE you message me). No, I cannot meet you 'half way', sorry. Pick up will be early morning or late afternoon (to avoid stressing/transporting birds during peak heat periods), from 4pm Sunday 13th January. First in best dressed. Thanks to everyone who has brought from us and supported us over the past 10 years, we've enjoyed meeting each and everyone of you. 12.01.2022 Bollith Bred Poultry are closing down! We still have a few hens left of most breeds, however these are selling fast. Currently for sale (most are 12months & older): 4x Blue Australorps Hens + 1 Rooster 1x Splash Australorp Hen ... Silver Laced Wyandotte Hens + 1 Rooster 3x Buff Orpington Hens 4x Buff Sussex Hens 6x Speckled Sussex Hens + 1 Rooster 4x Silver Grey Dorking Hens 6x Rhode Island Whites + 1 Rooster 1x Black Silkie Hen 3x Golden Laced Cochin + 1 Rooster. (Lacing may be incomplete) These numbers are a huge reduction from the 150 hens we had for sale just two weeks ago. All hens and roosters are $70/ea. 08.01.2022 Our last brood of chicks have finished hatching and all our incubators have been turned off for the very last time We still have lots of chicks for sale at all ages between day olds up to 3 months. Most are off heat (except for DOCs), and we can begin to sex some of the older ones too. Once these are gone there will be no more!! Wyandottes, speckled sussex, buff sussex, dorking, australorps, rhode island white, cochin, silkies and belgians available (not all breeds availa...ble at all ages). We have 1 Greatlander 8TTH Incubator for sale, only 2-3 years old, holding over 700 eggs plus a seperate 180 egg hatching chamber. (As shown: middle incubator in picture). 01.01.2022 UNSEXED CHICKS & ROOSTER RETURNS We've always offered a free rooster return to all our clients who have purchased unsexed chicks from us. Although we are closing down, our policy on this won't be affected. If our clients purchase unsexed chicks from us and end up with excess roosters which they cannot keep or rehome then they're always welcome to return them to us (by arrangement). As we won't be open 7 days a week in future, one option we may trial is prearranged "drop off... days" where our clients are welcome to return any roosters to us if they wish. Our clients have always been informed that roosters which are returned to us will likely end up in the pot. The roosters spend their time free ranging on a farm (off premises) and are dispatched humanely. On occasion we are able to rehome and this is always our preferred option, however having the expectation to rehome every rooster we hatch is unrealistic. In addition, Bollith have always offered a "Rooster Disposal Service" for those people who have ended up with roosters which they have not purchased through us. This service did cost a small fee which covered any medication/quarantine/feed/ husbandry etc for each rooster returned to us. For those people who have roosters and are able to deliver them to us on our "drop off days" we hope to be able to waive this fee. We will advertise on this page when our first "drop off day" will be next month. See more
