Due to growth they now have an immediate need for an experienced Insurance Building Supervisor to join their team. Under the direction of the Projects Manager, the main focus of this role will be to liaise with the customer and trades, the majority of time spent on sites as directed, d...uring the restoration process for buildings damaged by insurable events. The Building Supervisor will also be responsible for providing regular updates to customers and ensuring a high level of service is provided. The Role: The role requires an experienced Supervisor who is hands on and has an excellent record of completing projects within budget & time schedule to a high level of quality and standard. Liaise between the insured party, trades & Project Manager Dispute/issue resolution as required Ensure all work conforms to legislative and contractual WH&S requirements Ensure all inspections, certificates of final inspection and all relevant documentation are signed off Understanding of how to produce high quality finishes. 05.01.2022 NSW Planning and Environment has advised that new laws regarding combustible cladding will take effect from 22 October 2018. https://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/2018-499.pdf ... What this means is that owners of certain buildings with external cladding will be required to register their building with the NSW Government through an online portal, which is not yet available. The deadline for registration of existing buildings is 22 February 2019, with owners of new buildings required to register within four months of the first occupants moving in. The Regulations apply to the following types of buildings: Residential apartment buildings Buildings where unrelated people sleep, for example, hotels, hostels, boarding houses and student accommodation Aged-care buildings, hospitals and day surgeries Public assembly buildings such as theatres, cinemas, schools and churches External combustible cladding made of the following material falls within the Regulations scope: metal composite panels, including products that consist of aluminium, zinc, or copper outer layers and a core material insulated cladding systems including systems comprised of polystyrene, polyurethane, and polyisocyanurate For more information, including details about the registration portal go to the NSW Planning and Environment Combustible cladding page.
