25.01.2022 Introducing "Conversation as Therapy" (CatPin). We combined forces with RMIT University to tackle the issue of loneliness in older Australians through a custom made wearable that detects & responds to levels of conversation, a surrogate marker for social isolation. Perhaps you saw the CatPin on the news last night? #agedcare #DesignThinking #innovation

22.01.2022 What is it like to be a Veteran who has experienced mental health issues? Veterans are an important part of the past, present and future of Bolton Clarke (formerly RSL Care + RDNS). We have been caring for veterans in the community, our retirement villages and residential care homes for over 100 years. Our service personnel dedicate their lives to serving our country, and it is our honour to serve them in their time of need. Bolton Clarke's Veteran Family Toolkit was develope...d in conjunction with the Bolton Clarke Research Institute and Altura Learning with the support of almost 100 current and ex serving ADF members, their families and ex service organisations. The first module in our Veteran Family Toolkit explores the personal stories of four veterans, encompassing their experiences of deployment, returning to the civilian world and living with #PTSD. With an overall message of hope, each of these Veterans offer a unique insight into life after the military.

21.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all of our residents, their families, friends and loved ones - from all of us at Bolton Clarke! #tistheseason

20.01.2022 Did you know that the "Clarke" in Bolton Clarke comes from Lady Janet Clarke - a philanthropist and community leader who was a driving force behind the Melbourne District Nursing Service in 1885? She played a big part in our organisation's history and is one powerhouse of a woman to celebrate this #InternationalWomensDay.

18.01.2022 Today we remember them. The Australian War Memorial has shared the story of winged warriors; pigeons who have been used in both war and civilian life for centuries. During WWII the Australian Corps of Signals Pigeon Service was established, and thousands of birds were used to help solve the military’s problems with communication.... 12.01.2022 For sisters Lynne, Margie and Melita, choosing to live at a Bolton Clarke retirement community is "the best move we ever made."

10.01.2022 Bolton Clarke has a long history of care. From a single nurse walking the streets of Melbourne attending to the poor and sick in their homes, to 'Kingshome' - the very first Queensland War Veterans' Home in Taringa, we honour the work two of our organisations early leaders, Sir William Bolton and Lady Janet Clarke started. This #AgedCareEmployeeDay we celebrate their legacy and say #thanksforcaring to the team members that have supported our clients, residents, veterans, the homeless, pregnant mothers and our older population for over 200 years. #ACED2020 #wecaredifferently

09.01.2022 Retirement village residents at Tantula Rise have put together this special ANZAC display for the community. In the centre photographs is Don James, who served in the Army during WWII in Aitape, New Guinea. Don was in the Infantry and worked in transport, driving supplies down the beach in Jeeps. For Don, ANZAC Day is significant but he doesn't like to dwell on the past, "I have a lot of respect for the men that gave their lives for our country. We had a small, but lovely service here. We sung hymns & a couple of wreaths were laid."

09.01.2022 Come along, meet our residents and explore the retirement lifestyle at Tantula Rise at our weekly Tea and Tour event.

09.01.2022 Sport and music have always been a part of life for Bolton Clarke Centenarian Club member Jean, who celebrated her 102nd birthday this week at Tantula Rise, Alexandra Headland residential aged care community. Jean was one of six children two boys and four girls in a musical family. We had a television and listened to music every night, and had church once a month.... Jean and one brother played the violin, while her sisters played piano. Of her younger days she says, I did a lot of knitting and I had a lot of boys I used to write to, she says. I used to write to them and knit jumpers and socks for them. Listen to our interview with Jean here: http://bit.ly/Jean-SC-102 #centenarian #102yearsold #happybirthday
