18.01.2022 At first glimpse it might be hard to see what Chelsea's retirement village residents might have in common with someone living rough in Melbourne. The clue is in the face mask. In partnership with Masks for Mates, Bolton Clarke's Homeless Persons Program has been supplying masks for Melbourne's rough sleepers with the help of some handy resident sewers from Bolton Clarke retirement villages.

She oversaw our Fernhill community in the 1980's and was awarded an OAM in 1994. She began her nursing career at 17, training in Victoria, going against her family's wishes that she take on secretarial work. She worked at Ferhill for over 18 years.

12.01.2022 Last month Chelsea Retirement Village Manager Shelley celebrated 20 years with Bolton Clarke! Village residents and the team pulled out all the stops to say #thanksforcaring! The surprise celebrations included 70 residents cheering Shelly on with balloons and flowers as she was driven through the village on a buggy. A small reception followed in the clubhouse where Shelley was joined by 6 residents who have lived at Chelsea for 20 years or more. Lastly, everyone enjoyed a trip down memory lane with an on-site visit from Mr Whippee, serving up 95 ice cream cones & sundaes to residents. #thanksforcaring Shelley! #ACED2020 #wecaredifferently

From a single nurse walking the streets of Melbourne attending to the poor and sick in their homes, to 'Kingshome' - the very first Queensland War Veterans' Home in Taringa, we honour the work two of our organisations early leaders, Sir William Bolton and Lady Janet Clarke started. This #AgedCareEmployeeDay we celebrate their legacy and say #thanksforcaring to the team members that have supported our clients, residents, veterans, the homeless, pregnant mothers and our older population for over 200 years. #ACED2020 #wecaredifferently
