24.01.2022 Congratulations to the educators and children at the Banksia Room. We are very proud to announce that we were rated 'Exceeding' in all 7 Quality Areas in our recent assessment and rating process. We are very thankful for the amazing team of educators we have at the Banksia room. The level of professionalism, dedication and care is always is of the highest standard. We look forward to continuing to provide a high quality early childhood program that places the child at the core of all we do.

16.01.2022 The Aussie Backyard birdcount has become a tradition at Bomaderry Community Preschool. The children and educators have been excitedly anticipating this week. Monday Tally @ Wattle/Gumnut Wattle bird - 5... Raven - 2 Willie Wag Tail - 2 Australian Magpie - 1 Rainbow Lorikeet - 2 Common Minor bird - 1 Tuesday’s Tally Australian Magpie - 5 Rainbow Lorikeet - 7 Red Wattlebird - 4 Galah - 2 We look forward to sharing our tallies as the week goes by. 08.01.2022 The children and educators have been working on collecting, designing and making this amazing piece of ephemeral art utilising materials collected from nature on Dharawal land for a NAIDOC virtual art competition. 'Birdy' was loving created and has taken pride of place in our yarning circle. 06.01.2022 I would like to acknowledge, thank and celebrate the important and amazing work our educators do each and everyday. The BCPS team are all incredibly passionate, dedicated and resilient. You all place children and families at the core of your work each and everyday! I have never worked with such an incredibly supportive team! 05.01.2022 Banksia bird count for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 10 species 25 birds: King parrot 1 Common myna 1... Rosella 1 Spinebill 4 Sparrow 1 Little Wattle bird 2 Rainbow lorikeet 9 Cockatoo 2 Fairy wren 2 Willie wagtail 2 The Banksia children observed in both the front and backyards. Gus shared... "I wonder if we saw more today cause it was morning and they chitter chatter more in the mornings?" (We usually count in the afternoon) We could hear many birds singing in the large front trees (TAS site)..... Gus said "We should never cut down that tree. Maybe we should plant more.
