22.01.2022 Morning everyone What a crazy time! We continue to think of you all and hope for the best. The Department has provided the following advice. If you have been to any of these locations you can get tested, even if you do not have symptoms. Our beautiful staff are both well at this stage so we are hopeful transmission has not occurred.... 18.01.2022 Bombshell staff have received their day 11 tests results and they are negative! We are in the clear. Unfortunately we are still unable to deep clean the salon until Thursday due to the 14 day quarantine. Which doesn’t make a lot sense given the negative test results, but we are relieved all the same.... Today we also wish our Melbourne industry colleagues well, as hairdressers reopen. Best of luck. 16.01.2022 Good morning everyone Just a quick update on the situation. Yesterday we were relieved that our salon manager received a negative result to her test. Our apprentice’s result is still pending after a horrendous day trying to get her tested. We remain optimistic that there has been no transmission as we follow the most stringent guidelines in the salon.... Yesterday we reached out to all the clients who attended the salon on the day in question, including the lovely lady who was so unfortunate to have contracted the virus. All our clients are well and none are symptomatic. In fact one of our favourite customers was more concerned about when she could get her hair done next! We love you Anna. UPDATE: I am so sorry that the 7 clients who attended on 7 October have still not all been tested. We have tried all avenues to get the health service to prioritise these people without success. These clients include a 92 year old lady and an aged care worker. UPDATE 2: Clients have now been tested with the support of Princess Park Clinic. Thank you A deep clean can not occur at this stage as we are all in isolation. As soon as we receive test clearance we will get that done. If any of our clients have concerns please message us through this page and we will contact you and provide some advice and avenues of enquiry. We cannot check the shop phone as we are all in isolation. Likewise, if any of the impacted businesses (or other businesses) are seeking information or would like to connect with us, please pop us a message. We will help where we can. Thank you to everyone for your support. It has been a terrible year! Having not received the federal cash flow boost to support our business through covid, followed by extended restrictions, and now this, it has been horrendous. We are thankful for the state government support and funding that has helped us to keep our head above water. Stay strong and kind Shepparton. 09.01.2022 Today’s update Our staff, Faith and Abbie have both had the day 11 test today. All clients, management and extended family are clear. We are on the home run. There are new areas of concern in Shepparton! (We are glad we are no longer on it) Please refer to the comments below for the current advice however regularly check for areas of concern as contact tracing advances. 08.01.2022 UPDATE Our apprentice hairdresser Abbie is COVID free! After the struggle to get her tested yesterday this is big a relief. We don’t have testing outcomes for close contact clients as yet. COVIDSafe at Bombshell. We are getting there!

08.01.2022 Morning Bombshell family Today’s COVID update! Last night we received the wonderful news that our apprentice’s covid test was returned negative. Negative results have now been received for ALL our staff, business owners and our immediate family.... We are still waiting to receive word from all our clients regarding their test results, however the client who attended the salon, at the closest time to ‘client X’ , has received a negative result! So wonderful. One key message regarding the client with covid who attended our salon. It was NOT the truck driver or a Melbourne resident. The lady is a gorgeous local who we see weekly. She was asymptomatic and did not know she had contracted covid when she attended the salon. We have turned away many metropolitan residents seeking haircuts. Please correct any misinformation you may see on social media that says otherwise as it is not helpful. Please be kind to both our client and our business. So based on what we know in these early stages, it is highly likely that all tests for our clients will be returned negative. It is a testiment to the implementation of our COVIDsafe plan and our respect and compliance with restrictions. As I have said throughout this pandemic, ‘nobody wants to be THAT business’. We took all the precautions seriously and it paid off. The Premier has announced that all Shepparton tests, beyond the initial three positives, have been negative. Go Shepp! All staff, clients and our immediate families will remain in isolation for 14 days from the event, and post day 11 testing. Contact tracing has been in touch with everyone and will follow up again today. Deep cleaning will still need to wait until the end of next week, after isolation. We will be conducting that process ourselves to save costs. Unfortunately there is no government funding to help. What’s next? Well after the first wave we made the decision to occupy the store next door to the salon, to expand our beauty services and provide employment opportunities to our extended family . That was the second craziest decision I have made this year in light of wave two and beauty service restrictions! But it is what it is. Renovations are nearing completion but will need to wait until isolation is complete. Follow our page to see how it looks when we are finished! As always, thank you all for your love and support. 06.01.2022 Two weeks ago we received a call from the contact tracing team that turned our worlds upside down. It’s been a roller coaster ride to get to this point...but tomorrow we finally reopen. Best of all, our covid planning paid off and there was no transmission to our staff or clients. There are a few surprises in-salon after some quick renovation works over the weekend while we were still closed. Prepare for a new level of comfort and a lot more space!... 02.01.2022 Morning Bombshell family Day 4 Covid update! It’s all good news. All clients have negative results and are now out of quarantine. Our staff have day 11 tests tomorrow and then we are done. What a relief.... I have had a lot of enquires about the COVID payments available for people who have needed to isolate, so I will pop the links in the comments below. There will be eligibility criteria associated with the payments. We have made the decision to do some more renovations in the salon (after isolation of course) while we are still closed. It might still be a bit rustic when we open, so keep that in mind if you pop in. We will finish what we can in time. Great news about today’s state COVID Numbers ‘1’. Woohoo! Remember if you have any symptoms get tested. It helps the authorities to find the virus and respond quickly. Symptoms of COVID-19 can range from mild illness to pneumonia. Some people will recover easily, and others may get very sick very quickly. People with coronavirus may experience symptoms such as: - fever - respiratory symptoms - coughing - sore throat - shortness of breath. Other symptoms can include runny nose, headache, muscle or joint pains, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, loss of sense of smell, altered sense of taste, loss of appetite and fatigue.
