22.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago, we had to turn people away wanting flu vaccines on prescription, because we did not know when they would be released for smaller pharmacies like us. Our best information was the end of May. Now, we have the opportunity to order up to 20 flu vaccine for those customers who would be obtaining them on a prescription to take back to their doctor. This is sooner than expected. (People who are over 65 or have chronic conditions get them free direct from the... doctor's surgery) If you would like us to order one for you, please let us know by the end of tomorrow (Wednesday 6th May) by either phoning (6665 1221 or emailing us at [email protected]

18.01.2022 Although we aren't able to supply disposable face masks at this time, we do have fabric masks with metal insets in the nose which are hand-washable and reusable! These masks are not medical grade, however they can do wonders in reducing the likelihood of touching your face, and will hopefully ease up the strain on medical grade equipment for hospitals etc. Masks are available in a variety of colours and patterns (see pictures), and elastic can be tied to suit your comfort. Get in touch if you'd like us to put any favourites aside, otherwise they can be viewed through the window to the left of the counter. All masks are $15 each.

12.01.2022 Don't know about you but even though we are still taking the recommended precautions to protect ourselves, the fact that Australia is doing so well has meant we are feeling a lot more positive about things in the pharmacy. We are more confident that we can successfully think up and implement new ways of doing things and that the pharmacy is likely to survive. We also feel more protected by our screen and more efficient. I know I am not planning on going anywhere or doing anything differently even if they do lift restrictions. However, I did get into the spirit of isolation on the weekend with some baking...

It is a new week and I feel we are finally digging our way out from the avalanche of work that descended on pharmacy a month ago, so I should be able to post more regularly. In fact, it was a month ago today that the big run on pharmacy supplies began. I think by now people have most of everything they need and many items are becoming available in the warehouse which is great to see. No, sadly still no more toilet p...aper for us yet, but I am told it is available at the Gold Coast now so there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Still waiting on Glen 20, Pine O Clean, Dettol, Bleach, eucalyptus oil. I won't tell you on facebook what we do still have or will be mobbed again.
