25.01.2022 I feel the essence of feeling healthy is overshadowed by the attraction of weight loss. Weight loss in its context of where your currently at is very important ! But what Im eluding to are some of the feelings and wins that are hard to express through platforms such as social media. - Improving sleep hygiene ... - Having a functioning bowl - Enjoying the process of cooking delicious food - Smiling for no reason because your body is reacting to nourishment - Liking yourself for who you are which is Fucking Amazing - Having constant energy and positive thoughts Sharing my biggest win has been actually liking myself for who I am and where Im going over these past 6 months. Im laughing on a regular basis and feeling more driven than ever! Seems like a strange thing to admit sometimes. Being healthy or wanting to be healthy is far more than aesthetics - wanting to look sexy naked ! Its about investing in your well being and becoming happy with who you are and enjoying the process. Happiness



23.01.2022 Online sessions with a difference I never realised how much I would enjoy coaching ! As Coaches we have to be able to read our clients see how they move adjust accordingly for the best outcomes and adaptions.... Unfortunately I cant coach face to face which is my true passion due to the global and social conditions at the moment. So I had to adapt- And people out there need my help ! The online world has become my new home, it still holds the same narrative and intentions, the movements are delivered differently is all. Todays Online session was based on the following: Upper body mobility: - Shoulder extensions - Standing Cuban rotations - Articulations Why ? A lot of the general pop and females tend to be rounded in the shoulders due to anatomical and work habits. Workout: A1) bent over rows A2) push ups scaled A3) YITRs A4) Pike holds Why ? After opening up and increasing the ROMs with some mobility it was now time to strengthen by the following movements. - Increased time under tension - Isometric holds - Reduced rest between movements to increase intensity. Core finisher: Basically the majority of humans have a weak abdominal strength so we hit it ! Cardio: interval based cardio finished to really drive home the work out and burn some calories. Its that easy

18.01.2022 For a while, Ive been suffering from poor sleep mostly finding it hard to settle then float away !! I assumed it was a combination of exhaustion from training, work or just adrenal fatigue-Coffee! At the time I didnt realise how much of a compounding effect blue light exposure really had or how much it affected my circadian rhythm! ... I recently came across an Australian based company-QUAY! 07.01.2022 Life Experiences As we Get older we start to become more body aware! feeling a little tighter a little sorer in specific areas, restricted in movement patterns affecting our Quality of life. This state is usually achieved by compromising the body in positions without properly recruiting muscles to complete the task, but more than that its the lack of awareness in these positions that lead to Musculature fatigue in a compromised state - Injury.... In this day and age, everything requires attention but attention to ourselves is lacking the most, its pushed aside as we tend to care for others!. We fall into a familiar attitude of pain persistence commonly known as Stubbornness a positive feed loop. I Relate to this Personally, I experienced a back injury over a year and a half ago from no fault of my own, Lack of awareness too greater Intensity and volume of training (overtraining) at the time this leading to Nervous systems Issue then to Injury. This like many other life experiences gave me time to reflect, rethink and ask the big question! what do I want to build, how can I build to prevent further injury and how do I become Strong again. Mentoring from others, and Holistic awakenings have given me a greater perspective and understanding of when to Implement Intensity, Volume, and Loading and more importantly the greater Importance of Rest/Sleep/ and nutrition. The reason Im sharing this insight is that this has become the Founding Ethos at "Bonbeach Strong" Strength & Development - How we approach Strength and development is by Intelligent Design and design of Current ability taking into consideration External influences i.e Work lifestyle, Nutritional Influences, and other stressors. A good Coach doesnt Rush, a Greater Coach knows that when a member walks through the door He or she is Observing Responses, Visual signs of Postural attitude, Alertness to responses, style of words used in conversation before training is implemented. All of these Signals can Highlight a state Flight/or Fight! If this is the case the Workout may be scaled back to benefit Adaption, Clients training experience and prevent injury.

06.01.2022 Sometimes youve just got to go for it Its never too late to learn something new Studying certificates III and IV in Personal Training has certainly opened my eyes to the health and fitness industry. Im left feeling that Ive just dipped my toe in the water and I cant wait to go in deeper! I honestly believe that I will be forever adapting and learning - how can I not when everyone comes with their own set of individual strengths, limitations and requirements?... I am fortunate enough to have built a wonderful network of mentors, and have had the privilege to train at some incredible facilities. Each one of these has helped me to develop a greater understanding of my craft, and I feel secure and supported in the knowledge that I will not be alone as my Bonbeach Strength and Training journey gets underway. Its be truly enjoyable to watch others achieve their goals and push their bodies to limits that they didnt think they were capable of. Right up until this day, I am constantly reminded of the variances of strength and the patience required to reach goals. I am also regularly reminded that the road traveled longest is far more rewarding. The idea and philosophy of Bonbeach Strength is to understand your current abilities and movements, look at building strong fundamentals and build from there. Every movement and technique is learned before progression.

Ive always had a natural fascination and curiosity towards the structure and function of human anatomy, especially the uniqueness of each individuals form and strength every body is different! Unfortunately, this passion went somewhat unfulfilled while I was working as an electrical contractor... ... Determined not to stifle my inner ambitions, I gave up the security of employment to become a self-employed electrician. This in turn, has given me the flexibility to chase my dream of becoming a personal trainer and opening my own training studio - Bonbeach Strong.
