Is your New Years Resolution to further your connections on campus? Resolution or not - why not take advantage of this wonderful opportunity with BBESA to meet new friends within the Built Environment Faculty. Start of the semester by joining us for some light refreshments! We can’t wait to see you all there! 18.01.2022 Hey guys! We hope that you are having a great break and staying safe and healthy. We are sad to announce our final post as the current BBESA team- Vanessa, Dave, Tatyana & Donna. We have had a great time and would like to thank everyone who supported us and came to our events. We had a very special time and look forward to hopefully seeing things return to normal within the coming semesters. ... We are sad to say goodbye, however, we are very excited to announce our amazing new BBESA team lead by Andrew Gomez (President) and Joy Wong Lin (Vice-President). We are excited to welcome the new team who will be introducing themselves within the coming weeks. Thank you again for all the support through the previous semesters, stay healthy and safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone online and in-person when things return to normal.

In Week 10, BBESA will be hosting our NLP Session with Alan Patching - a professor at Bond University with a great deal of expertise in the field of human behaviour and self-development. He has used the NLP model extensively in not only his research but also in the field. When we look at people who are successful, it is common to think the following: If they were able to do it, I should be able to do it as ...well. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), when exercised to its fullest extent, offers us a way to achieve this level of success! As the semester nears its end, why not take a break for a few hours, enjoy an engaging and light-hearted, yet informative, experience. Trust us - this will be an event you will NOT want to miss! " This semester there are two pop-up classes on offer: Value Management in the Wild: This pop-up runs for two days (Monday 30 Sept Tues 1 Oct, 9-4pm) and is held ‘in the wild’ (BLD03_1_98, Outdoor BBQ area). It is run by Professor Alan Patching. Value management is a valuable skill for PMs to know about. This pop-up earns you the SILVER Project Cost Management badge.... SimulTrain: This pop-up runs for one day (Monday 23 Sept, 9-4pm) and is held in BLD01c_3_69&70 (Library Annex). It is run by Professor Craig Langston. This is a game where PM students compete in teams to deliver a project in real time. You can practice the first ‘week’ of the game at http://www.simultrain.com/. This pop-up upgrades previously earned Silver badges in Project Cost, Schedule and/or Integration Management to GOLD. To find out more about digital badges, see Page 18 of the attached P&PM course prospectus. I also attach an Infographic on VM in the Wild. If you would like to do either (or both) of these pop-up classes, please reply to this email with your request. VM is limited to 30 people, and SimulTrain is limited to 20 people.
