24.01.2022 About 2:50pm on Monday the 1st October 2018, a black Hyundai sedan was stopped at a stationary breath testing site in Summer Hill when it was discovered that a ...small child was in the rear lying flat on their back in a non-compliant child seat. The child had no shoulder straps and the "child seat" was only attached to the vehicle by a seatbelt that was looped through it. There was also a pregnant female passenger seated beside the child who was also not wearing a seatbelt at all. Further enquiries also revealed that the vehicle was not registered due to exipry. The driver was issued with 3 penalty notices for an unrestrained child, unregistered vehicle and uninsured vehicle. The female passenger was issued a penalty notice for being unrestrained. The occupants were not permitted to travel using the non-compliant child seat or the unregistered vehcile. See more
