25.01.2022 It hasn't been really well publicised but tomorrow is the great Chicken Swim. For the new members who know not of it, it is a family day at the Bergs. Lots of fun. And a chicken feast afterwards. Great fun. All welcome. Register at 10.30am for an 11am swim. Don't be late registering, Lofty gets grumpy. Great day for Bergs, bad day for this guy and his mates.

24.01.2022 FURTHER UPDATE: Chuky is saying two weeks, maybe more. The pump house is in seriously battered. Seas still big.

24.01.2022 Still no exact date yet for the pool to re open. In fact, the club just posted that their isn't any timeline at the moment as they are ordering parts etc etc This weather isn't exactly helping.

22.01.2022 UPDATE: Pool manager has let me know that the pool has significent damage from a storm of the likes we have never seen. The pool IS CLOSED INDEFINETLY for days, if not longer. We will keep you up to date here and @bondiicebergs The Crabbe Hole is open as usual and sauna is ok, but could change wave to wave. Thanks

10.01.2022 Pool still down today. Saturday squad should be on in some capacity. Sunday members races on-anything else 'sporadically'. If you aren't local you can check the pool cam on club website. Go to 'pool conditions' and you'll get a live shot.

09.01.2022 Pool copped a beating all night long. Sunday looks a bit dodgy, Noel says a lot of work needs to be done to make it safe. I'll let you know.

07.01.2022 Results for Sunday. Big day next Sunday- Closing Day! Point score race (go me....ermm, moose) and all the usual mischief on the blocks. Then upstairs for the usual encouraging speech from Lofty, then party into the night with the band.

06.01.2022 Pool got a little damaged this morning.

05.01.2022 At last some good news, the pool is semi functional and Neil Rogers squad was on this morning with a 40 metre rope in. Iceberg members races are on tomorrow over 40 yards only. Chuky has told me there is still much work to do and the pool will only be open sporadically until further notice.
