19.01.2022 Here is a story about one of our likely attendees. Mary Draper takes swimming in ten degrees all in her stride! Bondi to Bronte should be a breeze for her. https://www.theage.com.au//neither-the-cold-nor-the-covid-

17.01.2022 I am in the process of confirming accommodation. I have tentatively booked numerous studio apartments at the Adina in Bondi Beach. It’s a bit quieter and nicer than Hotel Bondi. It is in a great location. I am booking studio apartments that will have two single beds, unless you want a king size bed. If you wish to fly solo it will up your camp by $465. Or if you want a room upgrade. I think I might bring some g and t to put in my water bottle to sip by the pool.... actually that’s probably not great race prep.

11.01.2022 I will swim in the open water.... but the cold open water....hmmm... not my favourite. But there are some crazies (that I know and love) that might like these swim races (abiding by Dan’s COVID laws) at Williamstown. I will hold your dry robe, towel and ugg boots. Knock yourself out!! https://ripswimstore.ecwid.com/

03.01.2022 In need of a squad?? I have a 3 week solution with a great coach - Buddy Portier. Hopefully by then we are right to head back into our normal squads. Here are the details....It is designed for the not as fast to get back into a squad setting (aiming at time cycles of between 1.45 and 2.45). It will run for 3 weeks (at this stage) and scheduled for 90 minutes at the Bulleen Swim Centre - feel free to jump out earlier. Coach is Buddy Portier. $19 a session. The modest change rooms will be open (TBC). It is limited to 16 swimmers. And Buddy said he will factor in some "chat time" between sets. First in, best dressed! https://www.trybooking.com/BKCCP

03.01.2022 The great (and wonderful) Vlad Mravec is confirmed as head coach for our camp. I am a bit excited. Vlad has coached the most number of successful channel swimmers (including English, Catalina, Tsuguru, North Channel, Cook Strait, Rotto etc) than any other coach in Australia and when you meet him you will fall in love with his enthusiasm and passion for coaching. He is inclusive to all types of swimmers, ie, the fast, the not as fast and the more mature type.
