23.01.2022 This taco bowl is loaded with three lots of veg, anti-inflammatory turmeric and deliciously creamy avo! Gluten-free, dairy-free and all cooked in 5 minutes too... winning! Ingredients > 2 cups white cabbage, shredded. > 2 cups purple cabbage, shredded.... > 2 medium cucumbers, diced. > 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. > 2 tablespoons olive oil. Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste. > 1 avocado, diced. > 1/2 cup pepita seeds. Spicy Fish > 2 teaspoons turmeric ground. > 2 teaspoons chilli ground. > 1/2 teaspoon sea salt. > 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. > 500 g white fish, diced into 2cm pieces. > Olive oil, for frying. Directions 1. Prepare the Spicy Fish by adding the turmeric, chilli, salt and pepper to a large bowl. Combine with a spoon, then add in the fish pieces. Stir until the pieces are coated in the mix. 2. Add enough olive oil to coat the base of a large frying pan and heat over a medium-high heat. Add in the fish pieces and fry for about 5 minutes, or until fish is golden and cooked through. You may also have to do this in batches. Once fish is cooked, set aside on a plate lined with a paper towel. 3. Meanwhile, prepare the taco bowl by combining the cabbage, cucumber, vinegar and olive oil in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Divide this mix between four serving bowls. 4. Top each bowl with an equal portion of Spicy Fish pieces, avo each and pepita serves to serve.

22.01.2022 As the final hours of 2020 approaches, I wanted to say a massive thank you for your support during this year. It truly was a tough year that pushed everyone in different ways and forced us to adapt to new ways of doing things. Thankyou for enduring the relentless self-talk banter that was the first season of The Resilience Program.... Thankyou for getting after each and every workout and not letting your fitness be a lockdown casualty. Thankyou for showing up on the Zoom classes and allowing my foghorn voice to fill your homes each day. Thankyou for enduring the burpees - oh the burpees and all the burpee variations. Thankyou for stepping up to the triple-double challenge and cursing Tom Salts name (not mine) when they were programmed. Thankyou for dealing with the 473 replays of Fisher’s ‘I am losing it’. Thankyou for joining in on the virtual community events we organized and not making it weird. Thankyou for working with me, Alan, and CJ when we came back to the gym and following our Covid 19 safe plan. Thankyou for sticking with us as we made the transition to Bond Performance. Thankyou for being a big part of our community and let's get after 2021 together! Wishing you all the very best in the year to come!! Best regards Adam and Tania

19.01.2022 Exercise should be fun and getting fit should make you feel good. If it isn't fun, then there is a good chance the exercise you are doing is not the right exercise for you. Signs that you have chosen wisely with your fitness:... You can not wait to exercise. The thought of fitness excites you and makes you happy. You love the challenge your fitness choice gives you. You actively work on getting fitter and this, in turn, transforms the way you eat, sleep and go about your day. No matter how your day is going, when you finish exercising you are happier. Signs that you have chosen poorly with your fitness: You do not look forward to exercising. You put off exercising until the very end of the day with the hope that 'something will come up' and you can't make it to training. You are not motivated by the challenge of your exercise. Your lack of progress is everyone else's fault except your own. You feel frustrated and angry when you finish training. You are spoilt with choice when it comes to fitness so make sure you get out there and try as many different styles of exercise before you make a decision. 01.01.2022 Simple Nutrition tip - Cut sugar out of your diet. When it comes to nutrition we believe if you feel the benefits of something you will are likely to stick to it. This quick food tip is a simple little strategy to try and if you feel better - awesome keep doing it, if you don’t then its time to move on to the next one. Simple. If you want to make a positive change to your nutrition try this: ... Cut sugar out of your diet. Yes I know this is a bloody tough thing to do. Trust me I have a certified sweet tooth that if not kept in check will have me raiding the chocolate ile at the local supermarket in heartbeat. Sugar is a very addictive substance and you wont realise how addicted you are to it until you stop consuming it. To help with the elimination of sugar from your diet lets first look at the problems with consuming too much sugar: I am going to keep this short and sweet - excuse the pun - but simply put too much sugar in your diet can have the following effects: Mood swings Headaches Fatigue It Greatly increases your chances of developing : heat disease diabetes And fattly liver disease It Accelerates aging and Wreaks havoc on your teeth and gums. When you first cut sugar out of your diet, the first 24 - to 48 hours will be tough, You may experience some headaches, feel tired and may be a little quick to temper. This is because you are literally coming down of your sugar high. But after the first 48 hours you will begin to feel the following amazing effects: Your moods thought the day will level out. You will think more clearly. You will have natural energy and vitality Your skin will look better, clear and healthier You will be less bloated You will begin to loose weight. Your heart, liver, teeth and gums will rejoice in a happy dance and You will have successfully begun your journey away from chronic lifestyle disease and towards a healthier, happier and better version of yourself. Sounds pretty cool hey? A couple of things to help you along the way. If you are going through a hard craving moment, brush your teeth- this will kill your craving and also keep your teeth clean! If you don’t have it, you cant eat it- don’t have chocolate, sweets or cakes in the house just waiting to be eaten. Clear your house from any and all temptations. When I say sugar I mean refined sugar that is found in soft drinks , cakes lollies etc. Iam not talking about sugar in fruit and I am definitely not saying to cut fruit out of your diet. The Sugar in fruit is very low in comparison and each fruit is also packed in with lots of fibre that helps your body metabolise it. And finally hidden sugar is something to look into as it is many ‘low fat’ items that you may think are healthy, but are not at all. The best resource to find out more information about hidden sugars and the overall effects of sugar on your body is the Australian Documentary - that sugar film. Its entertaining, easy to understand and extrem

01.01.2022 Simple Nutrition tip - Drink more water When it comes to nutrition we believe if you feel the benefits of something you will likely stick to it. This quick food tip is a simple little strategy to try and if you feel better - awesome keep doing it, if you don’t then it’s time to move on to the next one. Simple. If you want to make a positive change to your nutrition try this: ... Drink Water- pretty simple and we are sure you have heard this before, but why do this? Simply put dehydration can lead to low energy levels, increased hunger cravings, dry skin, headaches, always feeling tired or sleepy dry mouth and bad breath to name a few. Drinking more water throughout your day will rapidly have the following positive effects: Increases Energy & Relieves Fatigue. Promotes Weight Loss. Flushes Out Toxins. Improves Skin Complexion. Maintains Regularity. Boosts Immune System. It is Natural Headache Remedy. And it just makes you feel better! So how much to drink in a day? A general rule of thumb is approximately 330ml per 10kg of body weight so for example, If you weigh 60kg then you multiply 330ml by 6 it will give you approximately 2000ml which means you daily required intake of water should be around 2 litres at 60kg body weight A couple of things to note with this: If you drink a lot of coffee, then you must replace each cup of coffee with an additional glass of water. This is because caffein is a diacritic and can make you dehydrated. When we say drink water, we mean drinking water in it’s pure form- so the water you have in a tea or in your coffee or in a juice does not contribute to your overall required amount. And finally, if you currently only drink 1 to 2 glasses of water a day, don’t go straight to drinking your required amount tomorrow otherwise you will pissing like a race horse and you will feel uncomfortable all day. Instead over a couple of weeks gradually increase your daily intake of water until it matches your required amount. If you would like more of an explanation please don’t hesitate to get in contact and we will be more than happy to discuss these points in greater depth.
