24.01.2022 Looking for someone to talk to, or chasing a few extra Beyond Bond Point? Checkout the phone tree program! The phone tree program is a new CDC initiative to help our students who have identified as feeling isolated during Covid-19, assist our international students to continue to improve their English skills and provide a platform for our Bondies to build a stronger sense of community. The Phone Tree is very simple, we have 2 roles for students to volunteer 1. Conversation Me...ntor who would normally be a native English speaker who can steer the conversation if necessary and initiate the call and 2. Call Recipient is a student who has identified as isolated. Both participants can use the experience to gain 5 Beyond Bond Points, the expectation is a minimum of 3 Microsoft Team calls during the semester to your Buddy.

06.01.2022 Lines of Inquiry Abedian School of Architecture, Bond University 17.10.19 - 14.11.19 This exhibition consists of 36 line drawings and 36 architectural maquettes from a variety of student projects from the last two years at the Abedian School of Architecture. Using the greater Gold Coast as our test bed, "Lines of Inquiry" rejects architectural futures where virtuosic technology and slick surfaces are the answer, and points to post-digital ideas about how the world could be: c...ompositional, material, and inter-connected. For better or worse, each drawing and maquette is treated like an untethered object or image, perhaps a reflection of how we already consume architecture in this late-capitalist, commodified world. The exhibition explores architectural drawing and physical model making as a thinking tool, exploring the skills of scale, observation, abstraction, precision, tectonics, poetics, research and analysis. Book now at: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/the-abedian-2019-spring-sho
