19.01.2022 What is the 'Uluru Statement from the Heart'? #NAIDOC2019 #VoiceTreatyTruth

19.01.2022 Although the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus COVID 19 has caused so much devastation and disruption not only for the Bond Community but for the world, the SSIA team remains hopeful. Our thoughts are with those who are affected, and we want to acknowledge those who are working tirelessly to slow the spread of the virus and those who are putting themselves in harm’s way to care for their communities. We have decided to postpone our NAIDOC week events until a safer time, and at this time, we will be focusing on supporting our community and reaching out to indigenous communities to offer support. The team has created some useful tips to support each other.

18.01.2022 JOIN THE TEAM! We have an exciting opportunity for someone interested in events to join our team! The events team organise our events such as the flower arranging class and NAIDOC week. This role would suit anyone with an interest in events, social media or marketing! ... Non-Indigenous students with an interest in cultural events are strongly encouraged to apply. If this sounds like something you would be interested in please send us a message or email Chantelle:[email protected] See more

10.01.2022 Bond University has created an important Reconciliation Week message that SSIA would like to share with you all. Although current life is unusual, reconciliation is still a very important issue concerning Indigenous Australians. In the past, SSIA has held many events during this week to celebrate Indigenous culture and bring awareness to this issue. https://youtu.be/2H_v_XDfYww

03.01.2022 Ayyy! Now this is moorditj! This is Kiya (pictured here with her deadly friend Miranda Tapsell). Kiya is the new Indigenous doll on Play School and will make he...r debut on during NAIDOC Week in the special episode, ‘Acknowledgement of Country’, celebrating our Indigenous language and culture. Kiya's dress is a collaboration with Noongar artist Kiya Watt and is a special story about her people and the Mother Ocean. You can catch the episode on the 8th of July from 9.00am on ABC KIDS, with an all-star cast of presenters Miranda Tapsell, Luke Carroll and Hunter Page-Lochard who will find out where Kiya is from and learn to say hello in her language. via Miranda Tapsell #playschool #ABCME #Indigenous #Aboriginal #FirstNations #IYIL2019 #IY2019 #NAIDOC
