25.01.2022 Samantha Lara, Film and Television Alumna, has had her film Featherweight selected to be screened at the 2020 Flickerfest - Australia’s largest short film festival. Flickerfest will be bringing its National Tour to Home of the Arts on Wednesday the 28th of October at 6:30pm. Samantha, who completed a Bachelor of Film and Television, is currently working full-time as an Assistant Director on a feature films, TV series and TVC’S. Featherweight, is the story of stubborn and scrawny 13-year-old Tas who gets dumped on her father's doorstep and turns to boxing in an unlikely and desperate attempt to win him over. It was awarded Best Narrative Short at the Vegas Movie Awards and has gone on to win a number of awards since. Fantastic work Sam!

Alisha studied a Bachelor of Business Law at Bond, and during her time here she led tours of the University's Corrigan Walk Art Tour. As she learned about the artworks, Alisha decided she wanted to share the beauty and meaning behind Indigenous art with the world. Alisha saw the potential to incorporate Indigenous art into fabric design and with the support of the Bond Business Accelerator program, her activewear label Faebella was born.
