23.01.2022 ARE YOU FEEDING YOUR HORSE THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT OF YOUR FEED? It is important to feed the recommended amount of a product because these amounts are carefully calculated to meet your horse’s full nutrient needs. Feeding less means your horse will be left deficient in some nutrients. Feeding more is probably a waste.... BUT WHAT IF THE AMOUNT IS TOO MUCH? And you think If I fed that much my horse would be so fat. Or so hyperactive? AND WHAT IF THE AMOUNT IS TOO LITTLE? And you think feeding the smaller amount would mean your horse would lose weight? THE KEY IS TO CHOOSE A FEED THAT HAS A FEEDING RATE APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR HORSE! Within the Pryde's EasiFeed range there are products with feeding rates from as little as 100 g/day right up to 5 kg/day. Use their product selection trees or the EasiFeed Selector to find the best feed for your horse. If your horse only needs a small amount of feed, go for a balancer pellet (less than 1 kg/day). If your horse needs more feed, use one of their concentrates (up to 3 kg/day) or complete feeds (up to 5 kg/day). Or you can use the ‘Keep It Balanced recommendations for the feed you use to balance the diet with one of the products from our EasiBalanced range. Show Horse competitors we are excited that the O.T.B. Show Society Inc will be running a Horse Show on Sunday 3rd January and Sporting Horse competitors, Sporting Horse Australia will be running an event at Boneo Park November 21-22.
