24.01.2022 Just a quick update in regards to our hours, as stated in our status posted on 29th March, we are still opening until at least 1.30pm (mon-sat) and until 11.00am on Sunday. Things are pretty tough in these uncertain times for us as a small family business but we will endeavor to do the best we can in regards to opening hours, we ask if you are wanting to shop to come in before 1.30pm - some days we may stay later it’s just a day by day thing at this stage but we will definitely be there until 1.30pm Mon-Sat. We thank you for your loyalty and understanding during these times, we hopefully can get back to some sort of normality really soon. 13.01.2022 The health and wellbeing of all our staff and customers at BONGAREE NEWS are always our top priority. We are actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and have implemented a range of measures to keep everyone healthy. Our staff are encouraged to wash their hands regularly throughout the day and use hand sanitizer in between washes due to the high volume of notes and coins handled throughout the day. We are also using antibacterial wipes on both our eftpos ter...minals constantly throughout the day. As we have a high volume of customers throughout the day, we would also recommend you follow the same steps and we ask if your not feeling well and not too sure to please shop another day. We ask you to please NOT hand us notes that have been in your mouth, rolled up in a handkerchief in your pockets or anywhere else that’s not sanitary. Please note any mobile phone handed over for scanning of cards will be wiped with antibacterial wipes before handed to us. We just have to be vigilant because we are a family run business, if one of us goes, we all go. We are already feeling the pinch business wise of this terrible virus, hopefully we can manage to come through the other side.
