24.01.2022 SUMMER SOCCER STARTS UP A lot of BBFC teams/ players have started summer comps including the Boys 15B who were looking fantastic in their full kit. Like a lot of our teams these guys are focused on a big off-season where they will continue to improve their overall performance.... GRIT.

22.01.2022 BBFC RECOGNISED AT 2020 MENAI DISTRICT SPORTS AWARDS Huge congratulations to our 21A/B2 team coached by Brett White who were name Best Senior Male Team after their amazing season where they topped the B grade table and finished ahead of all bar one of the A graded teams. Retiring Club President, Peter Burgess, was selected from 13 nominations from various clubs as the 2020 Club Person of the Year.... Well done to our W15s on being a finalist in the Best Junior Women's Team Category.

20.01.2022 SMALL JOB HELPS EVERYONE A big thanks to John Watson, Gary Williamson and Clive Riseam who re-turfed the northern goal mouth at Lakewood through the week. This will benefit every team from 12s up that use the full field. We have lots of other small one-off or ongoing jobs that our teams and members can take on. 17.01.2022 JOIN US ON THE JOURNEY The Bonnet Bay FC Academy is excited to have taken its relationship with the Changing the Game Project, led by Jon O'Sullivan, to the next level. All our members will have access to an enormous resource library which will help understand the philosophy we wish to instill across the club. The article below is just one simple example. It encourages us to be patient and supportive as our young teams and players develop the grit and skills to handle life an...d football. While some fantastic progress will emerge when kids are quite young the finished article may take 20 or more years. Even in professional sport it is understood that young proteges may not peak until late 20s when all their sport, life lessons and experiences merge into the finished product. Stay posted as we head towards the launch of the Bonnet Bay FC Academy website. We are certain everyone, including mum and dad, can learn plenty along the way too. It is my intention to remain involved to whatever extent I can for as long as I can but this is in the lap of the Gods. It is fantastic to receive personal recognition and awards however I place far more value on the recognition we have received as a club. 12.01.2022 STATE GOVERNMENT GRANT HELPS UPGRADE LIGHTING AT LAKEWOOD Thanks so much much to State MP for Miranda, Eleni Petinos, for supporting our application for grant funds to assist in upgrading lighting Lakewood during 2020. The $15,000 upgrade has enabled us to resume to paying night matches meaning more teams get to pay home games at Lakewood.

05.01.2022 AGM SETS UP BBFC FOR A FANTASTIC 2021 There was much to be optimistic about as members at Tuesday’s Annual General Meeting were updated on activities for the season and the club’s plans for the future. We are excited to have a new, capable, community focused President in Andrew Symes to lead the way. Andrew has been around the club for some time and understands the development pathways. He is a corporate lawyer with an excellent handle on all BBFC activities. Next year he wil...l be personally involved with his son’s under7 team and his own over 35F team where he occupies the goals. It’s very pleasing to see heaps of new people helping out in various ways. This extra help is essential to ensure that our committee is not over-burdened. There are more jobs so send us your availability and skill set so we can find you a role. The AGM recognised the fantastic contributions over many years of Andrew Prociuk, Ian Petrovski and Rod West by conferring life membership on them. We committed to an ambitious Community Event at Lakewood to celebrate our 40th Anniversary on 27 March 2021. Everyone is welcome so please pass the word on. We are looking for organisers, workers and sponsors to help make this day a success. 01.01.2022 HERE'S WISHING ALL OUR MEMBERS & FRIENDS A FANTASTIC XMAS & NEW YEAR. What a year we have shared with COVID-19 now interfering with Christmas plans of many families.on top of all that has happened earlier. Still, we can only count our blessings when looking overseas. We are fortunate to live in a great country whose community spirit has come to the fore in 2020. Hopefully this will continue in 2021 and beyond.... BBFC wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to 2021 where we plan to celebrate our 40th birthday in style with an incredible community event at Lakewood on Saturday 27 March 2021.
