25.01.2022 Can't believe my last post was in March !! Been so busy but I think our season is almost over, winters on it's way. I've had quite a few high teas, I'm putting some photos up :) Elaine Lunson was our 250 like, Elaine her daughter Rose and some family and friends came on Sunday, on Saturday it was for the lovely Lorraine who is leaving Deloraine. All of these gorgeous ladies were an absolute pleasure to have in our home. I did have a lovely gentleman a few weeks ago tell me our house was a cross between Fawlty towers and the Addams family, at least he was smiling when he said it.

22.01.2022 My new slippers I'm sure are going to make me work faster !! And a saying I love from the beautiful Helen Fong x

20.01.2022 Just don't know where the time goes, I mean well, but keeping a face book page up dated when you have a B&B is at best 'a bit sporadic ' lol big word for the day !! We have had a few enquiries lately about gluten free High Teas. Nearly everything I make is easily adapted to gluten free, as there are varying degrees of sensitivity to gluten, it's not suitable if you are coeliac. When you make a booking please let us know if you have dietary requirements and we will do what we ...can to accommodate you. Afternoon tea is also available with a selection of sweet or savoury scones and cake with coffee and a selection of teas, again that's by booking only. We've also had enquiries about evening meals here at Bonneys, well after Easter we are trialling a set menu for evening meals, it will be a small menu but it's good old fashioned meals like my nanna used to make :) we are not going to be a restaurant as such, it's still our home so comfort and service in an intimate setting will be our focus. Don't forget evening meals are available at Bluff Views as well, we had dinner out there on Monday evening and it was amazing, I had rack of lamb and vegetables , Randall had salmon and mango salsa and salad, the quality and value of the dinner menu is to good not to share with you all, call them to make a booking !! You won't be disappointed. I've also started baking for Francis at the Deloraine Florist, just a small selection at the moment but the coffee there is really really good !!! I also hear from some lucky local ladies that her barista may also play the guitar for you while your having coffee, you need to check that out cause he's a cutie :) See more

15.01.2022 Elaine and friends.

13.01.2022 Note to self .... You are being treated for Parkinson's disease, you are very clumsy.... Do not try to carry 2 plates at once, especially since you already dropped a carton of eggs and you don't have any left and your guests are waiting for their breakfast !!!!!

05.01.2022 Well the slippers didn't make me work faster :) but they are pretty !! Big weekend, there's lots of people travelling, hurt my shoulder making beds on Saturday, it was very sore and was worse through the night, Sunday morning saw Randall off early to Richmond with St. Andrews Caledonian band to the championships, I was feeling rather fragile cause I actually couldn't move my arm and I had 10 people for brekkie, I managed to get everyone fed and 1 of my guests asked if I was i...n pain, he had a look at my shoulder and it was dislocated :( so off we go to the guest lounge, on the floor, he put his foot in my armpit and popped it back in......oh my god it was so painful but such a relief, Richard Iredale you are amazing, I'll tell you more about Richard later, he's an educator for doterra products and I am so grateful he was staying with us. I did sulk all day until Randall came home and took me into the hospital for an X-ray and pain relief. Upside was the band just about cleaned up everything they entered at Richmond. I'm still sulking today, my shoulder is so painful, I'm not making beds for a few days anyways :) See more

01.01.2022 Hi Kerry and Cheryl , how lovely to hear from someone else in the B&B industry :) your place looks lovely, if your ever down this way make sure you call on us.

01.01.2022 Its been awhile since I've posted, so much has happened....I had a week in townsville to see my daughter, it was hard going from 28 degrees to our frosty -5 the other morning, but it was good to come home to Bonneys. We also lost our old mate George Young. Randall did his bathroom up a little while ago, I used to make him the odd meal, he was always here to celebrate milestones with us, we will miss his laugh and his cheeky wit !! His funeral on Friday was a lovely tribute to... a man and a legend of the Deloraine football club. We received a certificate from trip advisor this week, we are very grateful to all of our lovely guests that leave reviews, I know their all paying guests but that they take the time to leave reviews is very humbling and makes us keep plugging on. Another gorgeous lady in our lives had her birthday on Friday, Kathleen Lewis , she's our sunshine on the dull days !! We also had some returning guests that gave the the most heart felt gift. A little cushion that is embroidered with tiny cross stitches and seed pearls, so much time and effort Beryl, thankyou x See more
