25.01.2022 Many of you are asking me again about bus/van/tiny house living as potential future housing alternatives since covid-19. These days I continue to finalise plans for my tiny house build, though obviously depending on your desired lifestyle, chassis tiny houses are not ideal for extensive mobility or travel. Yes, there are many benefits to bus/van life guys, I can only stress that if you are going to combine your assets (home and vehicle) you invest in as new a model as possib...le for longevity's sake, lest you lose both. This sounds obvious yet it wouldn't be the first time I saw travellers search desperately for affordable land to plonk their dying van on so they don't lose their home. Same situation if rust sets in.. there goes your home AND vehicle. This is why tiny houses built on a trailer are my successive choice, as keeping my vehicle seperate from my home eliminates this problem. MANY years ago I made a little video listing the benefits of living simply in a small space during my time on the road researching Intentional communities. 22.01.2022 When I was little I was drawn to old poetry and philosophy and found in my early 20's that carrying a book with me of my favourite transcribed poems, sonnets and stanzas gave me the advice I needed if those around me weren't able at the time. A friend, Alex Maclaurin , recently asked for poetry that gets me through and loved some of these timeless stanzas, so I thought I'd share their beauty with everyone. Some of these date back to the 15th century, yet their messages still ring true. Hope you can read my writing. I'll type them out in the comment section later for those that can't. 19.01.2022 This morning I found a graphite drawing I drew of an ex-partner and beautiful soul 6 years ago. It was buried deep in a bag of writing I'd been meaning to get to and miraculously escaped the mould that had taken some of my poetry. Found myself reflecting on the loves we've had and farewelled, and all that we gain through loving hard and deeply when it comes.
