20.01.2022 As walking the dog is out of the question for a little here's a few other ways you can entertain your pup in the home. The best part of the walk for a dog is us...ually sniffing; so games that get their sniffers working are one good alternative. *I'll also be doing a '6 Day Lockdown Challenge' of little trick tutorials and games if anyone is looking for other ideas.

19.01.2022 Hello sweet Honey! This beautiful girl is a staffy x who is approx 1 year old. Honey is a sweet girl who has grown up around children and has been house trained.... Honey has lived with a cat but does love to chase and play rough with her feet so wouldn't suit a cat who wasn't used to this play. She has lived with another dog up until she was surrendered but unfortunately due to extreme stress in the household her and the other dog came to blows and were no longer compatible. Along with this Honey is a typical staffy with athletic ability (jumping fences) and needs constant chew toys and entertainment. She would benefit from a home with lots of stimulation and extension of her current training. A place where she can relax and feel safe after a stressful time. For any enquiries please send us msg.

16.01.2022 Hi, I’m Molly! My friends think I’m a pure sweetheart with a huge heart. I have to admit I absolutely love cuddleslots of them! I’m a happy-go-lucky kind of gi...rl who loves to play and burn off some energy. Let me stay inside with you and we can hang out together all the time. Wherever you go, I’m coming too. Sleeping on the bed, I’m down for that. My foster carer also doesn’t mind if I sit in the bathroom while they shower! It does take me a little while to warm up to new people, but once we’re cool, I will never leave your side. I love to rub my head and paws to get your attention, and once you start to pat me, I’ll never want it to stop! I absolutely love to eat and I’ll always find a little bit more room in my tummy for food. I love my walks too. I’m not too keen to share but I reckon with your help I can learn that it’s good to share! I also become a little too protective of my backyard and bark a bit but I promise with your help I can change. I’ve hung out with cats and other dogs and they are OK. But I’m sure with some human supervision, you can help me feel more comfortable with them! I’m only eight months and know I have a lot to learn but I promise I’m a very fast learner. I just need someone with patience and love. Is that you? Please clink on the link below to apply for little old me. https://www.savour-life.com.au/adopt-a-d/search-now//25666

15.01.2022 Private Rehoming!! Hello everybody, I’m Ruby will I be the jewel that completes your family? I’m a 10-year-old golden girl who has so much life and love to gi...ve. I’m a real people person who loves adults, but absolutely adores children, they are the best! If I’m by your side then life is sweet for me. I’m not a complicated girl, I just love lazing around all day now that’s my idea of perfection! I would prefer a dog free home please as I can be a grumble guts at times, and none of those fluffy things you call cats they are just not my thing. I don’t get anxious when my family leave for work or school I just working on chilling and wait for you to return when we can do some more chilling! I’m desexed and vaccinated too. I’m pretty perfect, and if you think so too, please PM the page and Scruffer Lovers will pass on my Mum's number so you can have a chat all about me. Hope to hear from you soon, Ruby. xxxx

13.01.2022 I've signed the petition, have you??

12.01.2022 **URGENT HELP IS NEEDED** We have recently been made aware of an application for the development of two massive breeding kennels in South Australia! The...se two applications are for containment of up to THREE HUNDRED.....YES.......300 BREEDING DOGS!!!! These applications are currently open for public review and we NEED your help to oppose the applications for development! But we only have until 4pm AEDT on THIS WEDNESDAY 11th November 2020 to get all the emails in! ****WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP***** 1. Send an email to [email protected] 2. You MUST title the email "Objection to Development Applications 312/311/2020 and 312/353/2020" 3. You can either copy and paste the email we have drafted below and in the comments, or tell them in your own words why you don't want ANOTHER puppy factory being built. 4. Sign off with your FULL NAME - we want the council to know that these are genuine emails of concern and opposition to the development. We only have two days to get as many submissions as we can in to let the Adelaide Plains Council know that we do not want another puppy factory making dogs lives miserable! Should you wish to view these applications they can be found at https://www.apc.sa.gov.au//applications-on-public-notifica COPY AND PASTE THE BELOW TEXT INTO AN EMAIL TO [email protected] Dear Mr Jacks, I am writing to you to express my objection to the following planned development applications that have been lodged with the Adelaide Plains Council: 312/311/2020 and 312/353/2020 I note that these applications are for the construction of 114 dog kennels with the aim of containing up to 300 dogs combined, along with construction of detached dwellings. I am sure you are an animal lover yourself so would understand that dogs are companion animals and need positive and regular human interaction in order to thrive - they should never be kept in cages like those proposed and forced to live in the elements - especially the extreme temperatures that are experienced in Two Wells where these developments are intended. I object to these developments for a number of reasons: 1. These developments are the definition of Puppy Factory Farming - the clear intention of these developments is to breed dogs in huge number for financial gain. I know of no ethical dog breeder who would even consider breeding this huge amount of dogs as they wouldn't possibly be able to care adequately for them all. 2. Puppy Farmed dogs are very often denied adequate food, water, shelter and bedding. Their veterinary needs are also often disregarded. Their mental health and stimulation is almost always disregarded, and with such a huge number of breeding dogs they will be deprived of companionship, positive social interaction and adequate physical exercise. 3. There are already am excess amount of dogs available in South Australia, with the RSPCA, AWL and the hundreds of smaller rescue organisations finding themselves full to the brim with perfectly adoptable dogs. The proposal of breeding more dogs in such an intensive manner is only going to contribute to the already massive issue at hand. Tens of thousands of dogs are euthanased each year in Australia as a result of over breeding, which is absolutely disgraceful and should not be allowed to happen. I firmly believe these proposed developments will only contribute to this ever growing problem. 4. The breeds that are commonly found in puppy factories are often the breeds with the highest care requirements and largest number of health problems. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Poodles, British Bulldogs etc etc are commonly found in puppy factories and often live a life a life of misery as a result of inadequate breeding research and veterinary care. 5. The puppies that are born in puppy factories can be prone to behavioural and medical issues later in life due to poor social interaction and vet care, and have a very good chance of ending up in a shelter as a result. However, the breeding dogs that are used and abused season after season are the ones that suffer most - kept in the same cage their whole life with nothing but misery and their puppies get taken away from them before they are forcibly impregnated again and again. This is no life,it is pure misery. And with the numbers being proposed in these development applications I am seriously concerned that the basic needs of the dogs will be completely neglected. Please consider my opposition to these developments seriously. I know puppy factories aren't illegal, but I also know they are not ethical. As an animal lover and owner I vehemently oppose these two developments and would prefer the council encourage ethical dog rescue and rehoming instead. Kind Regards,

10.01.2022 Hi everybody Im JJ I can’t wait to be the centre of your world! First off, I’m 12 months old who absolutely loves humans! It would be my dream to have a fam...ily who would make me part of their world, take me on long walks and take the time to train me. Did I say that I love training? I’m pretty smart if I don’t mind saying so myself. I can sit on command, sit and wait when it’s dinner time, and I’m already learning so many other new things. Toilet training easy peasy! My foster carer thinks I’m such a quick learner. Give me a Kong and ropes and I’m one happy dog, but please don’t leave me alone for too long, because I get super bored when it’s just me! Shhh, don’t tell my foster carer but I also love to chew on rubber thongs if they’re left lying around. I’m super confident, playful and outgoing although I can get a bit overexcited and jump up at new people and dogs at first, but I’m working on my manners. I have so much energy to burn and love going for long walks, but I’ve been told that I need to work a bit on my loose lead manners. I would love to hang out with another dog. My perfect day would be snuggling with my favourite humans on the sofa after a long walk. Could I be your sofa partner? Pleas clink on the link below if you would like to apply for me. https://www.savour-life.com.au/adopt-a-d/search-now//25503

02.01.2022 This morning, from across the ocean in Scotland, I received this beautiful picture of Cody and Boomer - two furbabies who we used to look after on a regular basis. They've grown their winter coats which they definitely need with all that snow and they looked so fluffy. I wonder if they miss the sunshine of Australia Thanks to mum Sally for sending me a photo of the boys. We miss them terribly
