Consistently seeking out cool places to rest / cool down. How to prevent: Ensure your dogs have access to fresh drinking water For dogs that often tip over their water bowl, choose one made of heavy material (e.g., ceramic) and provide more than one source of water. Avoid metal bowls which heat up too. Ensure these water bowls are in shade as much as possible. Bring dogs indoors or provide shade Leave air conditioning or a fan on inside on extremely hot days, and/or provide covered shelter or access to cool garage floors for outside dogs. Feeding & hydration Incorporating wet foods into your dog’s diet is a great way of increasing their water intake. Take them for an early walk Avoid exercising your dog during the hottest parts of the day. A hot footpath for you means a hot footpath for your dog! Taken from a Petbarn ad. Good info.

We will make some available for you if required. People attending Red Hill Vets will be required to wear a mask, you will not be able to come inside without one at this stage. Bonnies is determined to keep the community safe so we would appreciate your support. Please also be patient with our administration team as over 75 dogs will be starting this week!
