18.01.2022 We just want to touch on a few things Obviously, there has been some concern in this group with regards to the wake show that will be happening in the afternoon on the 20th of Feb and that some of us will be having our boats in the water, parked up on the bank at the same time. Firstly, Hoonstock would not have happened without the help of the Lake Eildon Festival when we have had such short notice on getting things in place due to Covid19. Lake levels this time of the year ...also plays a part in making something like this day work. This is why we have advised/timed for all those who want to be part of the on-water display cruise, to be at the water's edge as close as possible to Bonnie Doon Pub at 10:30. That way we can arrange to leave for a cruise around 11am to 11:30am. During this stage, we can get all our photos, videos and the cruise done which I’m sure will give us enough time. Once we get back to the pub, from the cruise, with our boats, we will still have plenty of time before the wake show starts. This way we can make our own decisions on whether we keep our boats on the water next to the pub, or pull them out. I know I will be pulling my boat out and enjoying the rest of the arvo with the static boat display live band etc and having few beers at the pub. Sunday there is no wake show so go as you please. Also, keep in mind that we don’t have any rights over the lake and we can not stop any other wake boats during the weekend being around us. Normal on water rules apply, so take care as you normally would any other weekend. Wake boats in Summer are going to be on the water most time of the year and we can not control that. Cheers guys.
12.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that we have spoken to so far that are keen to have their boats on a static display at the Pub. There is still plenty of room if anyone else is interested in showing off their boat, All types of boats are welcomed. 03.01.2022 Righto Hoons, I just want to share some news come February 20 at the Hoonstock event. A schedule will still need to be confirmed, But at some stage over that weekend we will organise a time that we can all get together in the water while driving up the lake having a drone overhead shooting some footage of us all. The roar up the lake will be great, especially if we can get a heap of us involved.... It will be amazing having every one of our hoon boats taking over the lake for a short while and grabbing some footage. We are still working on some finer details for the HOONSTOCK @ BONNIE DOON weekend, so stay tuned into this group for updates
