25.01.2022 Hi Team. This has probably slipped off your radar. We have until this Friday 20th to make suggestions for the proposed upgrade of our Hall Reserve playground. We've heard plenty of you say it needs improving so here's your big chance. It's easy online: www.pmhc.nsw.gov.au/hall-reserve-playground

22.01.2022 Stalled! Murphy started with buckets of to slow things down, but now in a masterstroke he has delivered roof trusses short of the required length! With any luck the right ones will be here this week.

20.01.2022 Be assured Team, a very clear message was delivered about the state of Ocean Drive and pathways in and around Bonny's by those attending Council's Zoom meeting last week. And we provided a reminder of the bypass options as per the map below. All of which is included in Bonny's Community Plan.

16.01.2022 Murphy had his way, Team! Little chance of finishing the Hall renos b4 Xmas now, but we won't complain. Greatly needed . Bonny's Draft Reserves Masterplan is on display until 11 Feb 2021 but suggest you forget it until we put 2020 to bed. We'll remind you in a month's time. haveyoursay.pmhc.nsw.gov.au/bonny-hills-reserves-master-plan

15.01.2022 No surprise Team, but swimming conditions are not great at present. A pity for our visitors but please avoid immersing your body in this soup.

15.01.2022 A reminder Team as we KNOW you will want to have your say on the future look of our 7 amazing Reserves. Register for a Zoom workshop at 5:30pm tomorrow: http://pmhc.nsw.gov.au/bonny-hills-reserves (You will find this is way better than the face-to-face workshops we have experienced in the past) .

15.01.2022 So Team by now you will have heard that sewage releases are permitted under the licence agreement to deal with excess water filling the holding ponds in large rainfall events. (See post below on Council's FB page). Hmmm. The key question we will be pursuing now is - are such releases going to become more frequent with larger volumes of sewage coming from Area 14, combined with more extreme weather events courtesy of climate change. One positive is that when the purple pipe system comes on line it will divert tertiary treated water to other uses like irrigating playing fields. So there will be less water to seep through the dunes to the north. BUT this will be of no use when we get a large weather event. We'll keep you posted.

13.01.2022 Vale Fred. Long time Landcare warrior in Bonny's. Judy has advised that he died peacefully last night. He will be greatly missed. A pic of Fred below at his 80th earlier this year.

12.01.2022 A celebration of our Landcare Warrior Fred's life will be held on Sat. Oct. 17, 2pm at 30 Alma St. North Haven. Numbers are limited to 100 so please contact Louise Love 0414 133 931 or [email protected] if you would like to attend. Refreshments will be served. On Sunday at 10am Fred's ashes will be scattered on his beloved headland. Take the track from Skyline to the cliffs. It was here that Fred and Judy started work in 1992! If you are unable to walk contact Louise.

11.01.2022 A call for help Team. Five keys on a black string lost at Rainbow Beach Reserve, down the northern end. If you find them could you please drop them into the lifeguard tower. Thanks.

09.01.2022 CWA Xmas fund raiser underway as we speak. Do not miss the best stuff!

08.01.2022 Be on the alert, Team. It's that time of year again. We've had a report of a car being broken into on the 4WD access track between here and N Haven. There's good information on the NSW police web site about how to best protect house and car. And what not to do. Hard to believe but it seems about a third of houses get broken into through unlocked front doors!

07.01.2022 Spotted half way up Rainbow Beach this morning by three excited girls: about 4 m long, attached to a length of timber. They were identified by NPWS (Shane) as Gooseneck Barnacles which live well out to sea (185k plus) and are a delicacy in Portugal and Spain. They are occasionally seen on ropes attached to entangled whales indicating they have been entangled for some time.

07.01.2022 Be warned Team. Take care. Don't leave keys lying around. A house was broken into in Bonny's last night.
