25.01.2022 *Oral health tips for healthy teeth during Covid-19* During this time where preventative dental treatment such as scale and polish teeth cleaning has been suspended, it's never been more important to keep up good oral health habits at home. Here are our top tips:... * Brushing your teeth with a fluoride toothpaste in the morning and evening before bed (don't forget the night time brushing is more important ) * Try not to eat anything after brushing your teeth at night * Flossing once daily, preferably before bed. If you can't do everyday, try every second day until you get into the habit * Limit sugary drinks and snacks to only sometimes, not daily and if you do have these foods, eat them with meals, drinking lots of water in between * Drink plenty of tap water * Chewing a sugar-free gum after meals * Change your toothbrush every 3 months and always use a soft bristle, never medium or hard * Bleeding gums mean you need to brush that area more!
