25.01.2022 It was great to see racing return to BVR last night. We had a good mix of new and experienced guys and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The track was running very well and the times reflected that despite the 2 and a half months off. It was so much fun we’ll do it again next week

23.01.2022 We had an awesome race night last night. The top 5 runners in Porsche Cup all finished on the same lap, so about 6 seconds from 1st to 5th after 12 minutes of racing. Scaleauto about 6 seconds covered the top 4 and the cars consisted of 4 different different body styles and 2 of each the new and old chassis. Awesome to be in the mix of both classes!

17.01.2022 Warwick Farm, a great track in Australia’s racing history.

17.01.2022 Tonight at BVR we ran a fun 2 hour endurance for our Scaleauto GT cars. Each of the 4 manufacturers seen here were represented so a good mix of cars. Each driver drove their own car, but each car still did approx 1 hour of running in total. Mick (Porsche) and Grant (Viper) drove a very solid race to take top spot. As we ended up with an odd number of drivers, next was a 3 man team Chad (Viper), Kim (BMW Z4) & myself (SLS Merc). To round out the top 3 we had Marco (Porsche...) and Bruce (Z4). Less than 1 minute covered 2nd to 5th after 2 hours. Close racing! Lots of fun and next Wednesday we're back into our points races featuring Scaleauto R5.

15.01.2022 I'd love to make a slot car of Thomo's Type 3 Fastback.. Does anyone know if there is a kit available, preferably 1:24 but 1:32 would be cool too.

14.01.2022 Good to see the track being used and the fun starting again. Today’s test n tune.

13.01.2022 After a fun afternoon of running on the track, we’re now all ready for Wednesday. Bring it on!!

12.01.2022 Last Wednesday night we ran a combined LMP / FLM race at BVR. We’ve managed to work out a great formula that means someone can run either and times are very close.

12.01.2022 With COVID restrictions on gatherings on the Gold Coast now at 10, BVR is offering Friday night as an alternative to the Wednesday. If Friday is more suitable to your schedule, send a message for details and maybe come and have a run...

12.01.2022 Guys & Gals, this is just a post to start a bit of a chat bout what we have at home in slot cars... Wouldn't be great to have a Sports Sedan class in with our slot car racing! This car was run in the 1980's, in particular in Queensland, and ran a mid mount Chev F-5000 motor. The car still exists and will be running at Historic Queensland in Warwick the long weekend in October 2020.

12.01.2022 Not a bad lineup of GT3 and LMP/FLM for tonight’s racing at BVR.

09.01.2022 After battling Mother Nature for the past 5 and a half years, we are finally putting our concrete driveway in. The first 24m, and the worst part, was installed yesterday. The drive is 130m long so, as they say, it won't happen overnight!! It will be a slow process. Getting ready for when we can start racing again!!!

08.01.2022 This looks like a great job of an iconic Australian historic sports sedan.

07.01.2022 In light of the current uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 virus, BVR will be having a forced hiatus. Whilst we have some time off it would be a great opportunity to build those cars ready for when we can return. Stay safe and keep up that enthusiasm!! Feel free to post what you are building to help keep us all keen!! Stocky

04.01.2022 A friend of mine dropped in today and showed me his old slotcar he ran in the late 60’s. He said he bought the car from the States and it was the latest and greatest in its day. We put it on the track and it still ran. The articulated centre is quite trick!

04.01.2022 With restrictions being lifted to the point we can run our race meetings again, BVR will resume racing Wednesday June 10. The track will be open for practice from 5:30pm, Racing from 6:30. The night will not be a points night, just a fun night to get back into the swing of things. Classes will be Scaleauto GT, Porsche Cup & GT3... Remember please all racers to have the COVID-SAFE app installed to protect themselves and our fellow racers... Thanks... Stocky

04.01.2022 Wednesday night we ran a combined teams race of GT3 and LMP/FLM. The teams were put together based on recent performances in these classes with the hope in giving everyone a chance to win. Each class was run for 10 minutes per lane, so 5 per driver. After 80 minutes of racing the top 3 teams were separated by about 45 seconds so pleased with the outcome. We had some stand out drives by the less experienced drivers. Terry, Chad and Phil all put in great efforts seeing as t...hough none have had much track time lately. Marco also put in a solid drive, something we’re seeing more of now. Steve made a welcome return to BVR after a long break away. He also put in a strong run to help he and I to a very narrow win (about 10secs) over Ash and Terry. We intend to make this type of event a regular thing at BVR. The plan is to run them monthly and swap classes and teams around. All in all a fun night had by all.

03.01.2022 The BMW Z4 is one of the 2 body shapes we are currently running in the Scaleauto GT BMW Series, the other being the M3. Initially is was thought that the Z4 would be the car of choice but Grant has shown that the M3 is highly competitive with race wins to his name.

03.01.2022 With the changing of private gatherings rules in Queensland, I have had to temporarily suspend our normal racing. We can still have up to 8 racers and stay within the guidelines of a maximum of 10 on the property so booking a spot is essential. Currently this is being done through our group WhatsApp chat but if someone is keen to check the racing out let me know. Hopefully we'll get back to proper racing soon...Stocky.

02.01.2022 What about this great old sports sedan? I was fortunate to pit beside John McCormack at the last Speed on Tweed. They ran the big Cat that weekend but this car also is owned by the same Qld'er. I have a 1:43 model of the Charger, and I know 1:32 resin models are available but would be awesome is see as. 1:24 muscle car!
