01.01.2022 After a hectic but truly memorable time at Kokufu and various visits to other bonsai museums/nurseries, our next stop at Nagoya proved to be of equal measure. A trip to the historical footpath of Tokoname city brought us to some incredible works of high art, thanks to the highly skilled potters. Here are some photos taken at Ikko, Gyouzan and Koyo-Juko kilns. A visit to Aichien of Junichiro Tanaka showcased some huge black, white and red pines, large tridents on rocks, and hi...ghly ramified deciduous species, among others. We rounded off our trip with a visit to Yusuke 'Bonsai Crazy' Uchida's garden. Although just starting out in the bonsai business, there are some rare delights highlighting his garden. Thank you Uchi for accompanying us on this part of our Japan journey, filling us with a lot fun and humour, and being such a wonderful friend! See more
