25.01.2022 Bonus Lawns springing into action this spring with a big soil and seed project in Kyabram. Soil for the project nearly all mixed, contractors ready to deliver and spread, seed mixed and all on target for sowing once we finally get some spring warmth happening. Bonus Lawns Super soil will be available for pick up after this project is out of the way late this month. It's perfect for topdressing your existing lawn, creating your own new lawn or using as a soil underlay for laying turf. Well draining and high in microbe and nutrients it's the perfect soil for starting new lawns or injecting life into tired existing lawns. Will keep you updated on this latest project and visit a few previous projects to show their progress over the next few weeks.

25.01.2022 Wouldn't let me add photos to last post so had to start a new one. All done, seeded rolled and waiting for the sun. Glad it is school holidays and Brad Phyland in need of some cash for the Lancaster vote count Sunday. Thanks m8 big help and all done by 12, early Friday beeroclock. Big thanks to Steve Parente, Grant Prior, Jarrod Gale for their professional help in this project. Will post progress photos as we follow this project through seedling emergence to established turf.

24.01.2022 One of our biggest soil and seeding project is under way. Soil mixed and delivered, Grant has leveled it all out and Jag got the watering system back up and flowing. Seeding started today and should be all done by the weekend ready for some warmth to get the grass a growing in time for schools out.

21.01.2022 Bonus Lawns are expanding the Lawn Top Soil production side of the business and are in the process of purchasing land for the project. But first we need to sell our family home to make this happen. Our property for sale is situated in Kyabram and has a relatively new 4 Bedroom Brick veneer home on 2 acres in town with natural gas and town water connected. It has a large solar power system, extensive gardens and out side Spa. This is a rare opportunity to have a rural life st...yle yet still be in town in a quiet no through road and have the luxury of town water and natural gas. It is priced to sell and if you were to purchase a 2 acre block of land and put a house of the same quality on it, you will be paying way more than this. And you wont have the extensive gardens, spa, town water, natural gas, solar power, peace and quiet and all in town. This is not a private sale so if this interests you or you know of a friend looking for something like this then do them a favour and share this post and book your inspection Through Jason (Barney) at Walker Real Estate. So feel free to Share this post, thanks. http://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-vic-kyabram-124

18.01.2022 Kangaroo Close project: Part 4. lawn thickening up 2 weeks after mowing 12/4/2017 and some shots taken today. We will hit it with a broad-leaf spray soon and lawn will be set for a long life future. We are very pleased with the outcome of this project as is the customer. Big thanks to Mark Noonan for the soil prep and Brad for the help seeding the lawn.

12.01.2022 Kangaroo Close project: Part 3. Growing and mowing 26/3/2017 We had a small sprinkler adjustment issue out front, no big problem, adjusted sprinkler and some more seed scratched in.

08.01.2022 Kangaroo Close project: Part 2. Seedling emergence 3&5/3/2017. Check out those babies

08.01.2022 Seedlings have emerged and we have been back to finish off the edges once the pathway boxing got completed, thanks to Kerry for the soil shovel work, I was a bit Bathurst sore and couldn't have done it without you . Few more sprinkler adjustments needed to get more water to some places and less to others but happy with the strike and all in time for the school student return for last term.

08.01.2022 Busy mixing up a batch of Bonus Lawns premium lawn soil blend ready for the autumn season. You know the dirt, we used it to produce the fantastic lawn featured in our profile cover photo.

08.01.2022 BonusLawns welcolm a new CAT into the family, purr fect fit for the business expansion into super soil production.

07.01.2022 Here's a few pics of a lawn repair project we did back in March for Sam from Shepp. Just called back to give it a feed and inspect the small problem areas where the top soil is thin and the clay is thick. The new plants are there and breaking there way into the clay so will see how they survive this summer. Will recommend replacing 5 to 10 cm of the crap soil with our super soil if the problems persist but feel the fescue is up to the challenge. The photos were taken at 3 stages, the works done, new plants up and the present day just before feeding time. Pretty happy with the progress and it should continue to progress into a pretty nice turf as the new plants mature this summer. Great work Sam looking after it after the renovation, I didn't have to give much baby lawn care instruction at all.

06.01.2022 I stated when I created the Lanky Bonus Lawns Premium Lawn Soil pictorial that the lawn was in early development stage and would show you more pictures in a few months time once lawn was better established. Well here they are and happy to say it has even got better and still not a weed to be seen. New batch of soil available for contractors now, priced @ $48 per cubic metre plus cartage.

05.01.2022 MBM designs office nature strip project. On the 4/4/18 we carted in some of our bonus lawns super soil to cover the existing nature strip soil and spread to a depth of 8 to 10cm. This gave us a weed seed free layer to sow our fescue blend into and a layer that would take and hold moisture to get that seed up and running quickly. The lawn was sown on the 7-4-18 and Mop got to work keeping the water up to it as we had an unseasonable heat spell. The seeds sprouted in about 6 ...days (exceptionally good germination time for this time of year). The watering system needed a bit of adjustment to fix the couple of over watered pooling spots but seed placement wasn't compromised to much and not expecting to have to reseed those areas. On the 18th the seedling cover was spot on and from a distance it looked like an established lawn and all in under 2 weeks. Ill be on site live this afternoon to up date photos of progress but you can see the progress up close and personal if you pop on down to 147 Albion st. Touch it feel it you can even roll around on it once its ready. We are in the process of compiling a full comprehensive guide on how to prep the soil and sow a lawn from scratch yourself and get the same results we are achieving here. See more

04.01.2022 On the 25/2/17 we got a call to do a very important lawn project, Brads school principle. Brad said we better get this one right his HSC counts on it lol. Not to worry Brad we using the super dirt, cant possibly fail. Here's the picture story of this Kangaroo Close project: Part 1. Sowing day 25/2/2017

02.01.2022 MBM Designs project revisited 7 months later. Looking mint, the guys looked after it well during the establishment period and it will pretty much look after itself now with a bit of water and the odd aplication of vicmill cof fertaliser.
