23.01.2022 After a long dry smoky spell, it's great to smell rain!

21.01.2022 We have at last got our fence extricated from the mud/sand/river wrack, and it's back up, albeit a little wobbly, and the gate will never be straight again, but Insurance said NO, they won't cover any of our loss, so we are now many thousands of $$$behind, and still paying insurance that doesn't actually insure. How does that work?

19.01.2022 just hanging around at hammock corner can settle and soothe your long hot day concerns, sweet creek singing in the shady background, all calm, all cool, insects humming and a cold drink to hand-the good life

09.01.2022 well, the campsite is a disaster area now, looks like we will be closed for a few months here, there's a lot of cleaning up to do after the wild storm on Friday morning.photos later.

07.01.2022 Our campsite is inaccessible just now, as soon as we are open again we will let you know here

06.01.2022 bonzaki wildplace campground will be closed to campers until November. Thanks to all the visitors we have met, look forward to more happy campers next season. We will be busy working to improve the gardens and camping spots ready for you.

06.01.2022 The cool Autumn mornings seem to make the birdsong louder...such a joy waking to their sweet sounds, wish I could post the songs!

05.01.2022 Please note-our site is NOT suitable for larger vans. We can accommodate off-road trailer camper trailers, and whilst you may get in with a regular offroad van, our access road is a narrow (one lane) gravel road, and has various overhanging trees, boulders etc. Height and width can be an issue. Please consider this before contacting us, as we hate to disappoint people! On the other hand, we welcome you to call and ask questions before choosing us. We do have a couple of 2WD access spots, and are working on more,I will post as they come online!

05.01.2022 Our campsite has lost it's green grass and is covered in sand and lots of stone and logs and limbs....now the water has receded. Could be a while before camping is possible again, but our truck is solid, and we are heading into Winter with plenty of extra firewood.

04.01.2022 hoping for a bit of sunshine this weekend so much better when the sun lifts your spirits we are working on our pickers hut/tiny house reno, so weather helps.

04.01.2022 bonZaki campsite will be ready for you on December 7th-through to April 30th-book through youcamp or wikicamp

03.01.2022 Looking forward to a warm long weekend at bonzaki wildplace

02.01.2022 River wrack finds-lots of beautifully shaped and coloured driftwood turning up as we clear and recover from wild storm. These will become part of our mini gardens projects, coming to a market near you soon!
