13.01.2022 Here today Scone tomorrow Its Saturday and we are still in isolation so why not bake your self some lovely scones covered in cream & jam and sit out with a nice cup of tea. They only take 30 mins, 10 mins to make and 20 mins to cook- delicious! INGREDIENTS 1 lb self-raising flour... 4 oz butter (real) 2 oz castor sugar 1 x cup of sultana’s 1 x egg 250 ml of milk METHOD Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Sieve the flour into a bowl, add the butter and sugar and mix using your fingers to create fine breadcrumbs. Add the sultanas. Make a well in the middle of your bowl. Whisk up your egg with your milk and pour into the well. Mix to form a dough. Roll out on a floured surface to about an inch thick and use a scone cutter or a round cup and cut out the scones from the dough. Place on a greased baking tray (or use greaseproof paper), brush with some milk and pop in the oven. 15-20 mins to cook. ENJOY!

11.01.2022 Factual Friday The aerobic curve what is this? The aerobic part refers to a measure of your body's ability to take oxygen from the atmosphere and use it to produce energy for your muscle cells. The curve bit refers to your way your exercise session is structured. This is what it looks like.... Warm up/pulse raiser This literally does exactly what is says. This part of the session is easy, simple moves aimed at raising the pulse, getting the body prepared for the exercise to come. This section is usually 6-8 minutes long and includes the stretching of the muscles to prepare them for all the compacting exercises later in the session. Target zone or maintenance This is the section that really challenges the heart and lungs. High explosive moves interspersed with dancing, combat and functional training lends itself to the H I I T principle. This section can be anywhere between 25-35 minutes. Cool down/pulse lowerer This part of the session helps the heart rate come down gradually and allows the body time to adjust ready for the MSE or body conditioning section. It should range from 4-7 minutes. MSE or conditioning This is the bit where we work on the trampoline mat and target certain muscle groups in isolation. For example, the abdominals, triceps, glutes and chest. This can range anywhere between 8-15 minutes. Our aerobic curve is designed to keep your curves in check!!
