25.01.2022 During these unprecedented times I have had many wonderful conversations with my customers. A hot subject at the moment is old war time recipes! I grew up on these recipes, they were cheap and easy! My favourite was a jelly whip that my grandma & my mum use to make! The receipt was never taught to me I always asked them to make the port-wine flavour as it was a little risqué . I never new how to make it and for the past 22 years I have been trying to recreate it with ...no success at all. I was having this conversation with one of my dear customers when I mentioned to her about this jelly whip. Well did I get the shock of my life when she calmly said I know that recipe! I said yes really can you please tell me? She said its just jelly! You make the jelly, put it in the fridge and just before it sets you take it out, whip it till it fluffs and return it to the fridge to set! Thats it! Shocked and joy was an understatement finally I have my favourite recipe! Many people are doing it tough at the moment and I know there are plenty of these recipes out there that are cheap and simple to make! I would like for people to share recipes on my page, so we can help people that are struggling to put a decent meal on the table. Stews, soups, meals and desserts anything that has minimal ingredients, cheap and their familys will love!
