24.01.2022 Who has difficulty finding the right staff at the right time? Let’s turn this around and consider we should be on the lookout for good staff all the time. Why only look for staff when we need them - or more to the point after we need them. Then we stress and react and usually hire the best of the bad bunch. But if we are always recruiting - mentioning to our network we are always looking for another great team member and communicating our vision then staff will be coming to us wanting a job.

16.01.2022 It’s not that difficult to plan where you want to go, but it does require a little bit of time in sitting aside quietly and writing out your direction of where you want to go and what you’re trying to achieve. I used to love to go down to a little kiosk by the beach; I’d sit there by myself, overlooking the water and plan my week. I found a place where I could clear my head and not be distracted by other things such as home duties and family. Where is your place?

15.01.2022 Yesterday I asked the members in my Facebook group for their thoughts on how we can maintain vital human connections in the world of artificial intelligence today and in the future. I hate to think that we'll all become a serial number/avatar/username and spend all day sitting at a computer screen to "communicate" with others. Or that we'd let machines take over the "task" of communications entirely. I found this article that really resonated with me and thought I'd share here https://bit.ly/3hbOWf1

04.01.2022 #Why Why do you want a business? Why do you want to work for yourself? Is this really what you want?... Sure you can be self employed and work as a BAS Agent - loving your work and clients. And that may be enough for many. But if you have just started out with the view of building a business or been working on your own for a while and its getting a bit out of control - is this what you really want? I was self employed for a long time before I decided I wanted to build a business. I did some research into my options and what made me the most excited was the thought of creating my own business. Once I knew what I wanted I made a list of 3 things, WHY I was doing all this - that I felt in my heart and soul, that I felt in my very fibre. One of those things was to create a successful, profitable business I could sell when I wanted to. I urge you to check in with yourself and become clear as to why you are in business. Why do you get out of bed in the morning? What makes you continue on doing the work you love - even when you experience some challenges?

03.01.2022 #YourChanceToSupportOthers Get a good mix of different staff both junior and senior so that you can get different levels of experience onto different styles of jobs. Have you got senior staff doing junior tasks? Maybe it is time to review your organisational chart.
