21.01.2022 Delving back into the world of Morse this week. British crime fiction at its best
09.01.2022 Grief and loss are hard facts of life to explain to a child. To soften the blow, adults often explain it in vague ways or avoid the topic altogether, something experts say actually make the matter worse... BLM member (and a very dear mentor and friend) Tanya Southey - Author has just published her first book that could provide a scaffolding for such a conversation. Ollie and the Starchaser is an adventure story with subtle undertones of the theme of grief or loss. This will... also appeal to children who may not have encountered loss but who enjoy an adventure story that has dogs, space travel and family as its main themes. Have a read and let us know what you think!
09.01.2022 Resistance Is Futile... Try as I might, I can’t resist a well written tale of the French Resistance. Alan Furst always does it best. The reader lives, smells, feels 1940s Paris. The purest escapism historical fiction can deliver. Read it. It’s excellent.
