22.01.2022 In the cabinets ready for borrowing

21.01.2022 AMAZING DONATIONS Full set in perfect condition! Thanks so much, Nikki These have just been covered and placed in the cabinet closest to the house

21.01.2022 Book Review I finished this tonight. It has 4 stars (out of 5) on Goodreads and it’s definitely an interesting premise/ storyline, although I wouldn’t rave about it quite as much as the Goodreads reviewers- quite a slow start & then seemed to try a little too hard on the twist(s). I won’t say too much as it’ll give it away but if you like crime fiction, it’s in the cabinets now ready for borrowing

21.01.2022 What to do on a public holiday? Come and visit your local street library to find something new to read. There are 500+ books in the 5 cabinets so there’s plenty of choice! Pictured below are the new books I put out this morning

19.01.2022 These books are freshly covered and now on the shelves There are around 450 books in the cabinets at any given time so come on over and have a browse

17.01.2022 My aunt came for a visit and look what she brought with her!! The love of reading definitely runs in my family

17.01.2022 Just a reminder to maintain a physical distance of 1.5 metres. In case you were wondering, that's 47 James Patterson novels #thepattersonchallenge Libraries SA

15.01.2022 Two items for the price of one

15.01.2022 I’m visiting one of my favourite Brisbane Street Libraries this morning Ryan Street, West End.

14.01.2022 The latest books added to the cabinets

13.01.2022 I went out last night with the intention of swapping the books in this cabinet over but I found it was jam packed with returns and Dean Koontz/ James Patterson donations so I left it as is. The top shelf is two rows deep

13.01.2022 I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is not what I would call a ‘psychological thriller’ as the back states, but it is a good courtroom drama and life drama. Very topical in the age of consent and the ‘Me too’ movement. And of course it was set in London - a place that I love - and as the character watched the sunset over Waterloo Bridge, I could see it in my mind as clearly as if I had only seen it yesterday not 7 years ago. In the cabinet now ready for borrowing...the one in which all the crime fiction, thrillers, and courtroom dramas are housed.

13.01.2022 YA fiction Anyone looking for Christmas pressies??

13.01.2022 We’ve been a bit short on donations recently & the women’s fiction cabinet has been especially popular, so these donations are most appreciated Now ready for borrowing in the relevant cabinets.

11.01.2022 Even more donations from my aunt

09.01.2022 **Share with your friends or tag local book lovers... let’s share our love of books ** If you like crime fiction by Lee Child, James Patterson, Jo Nesbo, Jane Harper etc, swing by our community library this week... This cabinet has just been restocked and don’t forget that there are 4 other cabinets as well that are full of non fiction, picture books, kids and teen books, and women’s literature.

04.01.2022 Looking to put my stress relief hobby to good use: If you know of someone who’s elderly, lonely, struggling with chronic illness, or for some reason would appreciate getting a surprise card in the mail, please PM me.

01.01.2022 Did you know? In 1919, during the Spanish flu pandemic, author and illustrator May Gibbs was asked to illustrate a public health poster. The kookaburra and gumn...ut baby are depicted wearing eucalyptus leaves over their faces, in a campaign to encourage Australians to wear surgical masks to reduce the spread of the illness.
