06.01.2022 Some of the deadly services we offer here at Bookyana

04.01.2022 To my great Grandmother, Mary, who had her two youngest taken from her and put into a home (albeit by her non-Aboriginal husband). To my Nanna and Great Aunt, D...orothy and Mary (Molly), who lived in an orphanage from young children until they became adults - my heart aches for what your experiences must have been like. Your resilience is why we are here today - Badimaya strong. Post below copied from Strong Women Strong Business as it echo’s my sentiments perfectly. Sorry Day is more than just the date the Federal Parliament tabled the Bringing them home report in 1997. It is about acknowledging the deep pain, suffering, heartache and sadness brought to our people when our Children were forcibly removed from their families and their communities. We pay tribute to all those who suffered and are still suffering and admire those who found the strength to tell their stories for the inquiry. We acknowledge the hardships they endured and continue to endure, and the sacrifices they have made. It is when we start working together the real healing takes place. #InThisTogether2020
