22.01.2022 Boolbardie Country Club would like to formally welcome all forty plus players from all over Western Australia who have come to compete in our "Denham Open" Golf tournament this weekend. Our club was started in 1965 which makes this our FIFTY THIRD Denham Open tournament!! These events are made such an outstanding success not just by the local and visiting players, special mention to our wonderful Carnarvon guests who join us without fail every year and also by our generous s...ponsors who have donated some truly amazing prizes this year! We would also like to thank and acknowledge the work done behind the scenes by our wonderful volunteers in the kitchen and bar as well as all the work done by our regular golfers and groundskeepers in getting the course up to PGA "St Andrews" standards! Thanks to this incredible rain it has truly never looked better! Tournament registration starts at 10.30am Saturday morning and all are welcome! Thank you all so much and see you at the 19th hole!

19.01.2022 A huge thanks to the incredibly generous sponsors as well as our members and visiting golfers from the Carnarvon Golf Course for creating the most memorable Denham Open yet. Numbers were up from last year and the course was prepared beautifully by all our wonderful volunteers and a last minute bit of rain which greened up the fairways nicely. We even went to the extent of having the weather match that of St Andrews in Scotland on the Sunday ;) for a truly first class golfin...g weekend! Special mention to Miles Hurinui and Jill Hill for taking out the respective Mens and Womens championship trophies with some sensational golf in trying conditions and with some stiff competition! Also a BIG thankyou to all the ladies and gentleman who ran the bar and kitchen and kept us all so well fed and watered with delicious treats and icey cold beverages!

02.01.2022 This Saturday the 16th of May the community of Shark Bay will mourn the passing of one of our most precious Elders. Aunty May Poland. FINN Films is honoured t...o have been requested by the Poland family to provide a LIVE STREAM production of her memorial service to be held at 11.30am at the Denham cemetery. The celebration of Aunty Mays incredible life will be streamed LIVE on the Shark Bay News and Views Facebook page (via a FINN Films live stream post) so that all who knew and loved her may be present to send their love and condolences directly to the family no matter where they are. We would ask all those who held Aunty May dear to their hearts to please share this post amongst Shark Bay family and friends who can not attend the service in person due to Corona Virus restrictions. Please share this post via your personal social media pages so that together we may mourn her passing as she celebrated her wonderful life. Bringing us together as one big family. Edited: due to restrictions on funeral numbers & social distancing, we are asking for your patience & understanding during this time. We have been approved for 40 attendees in the cemetery at one time. Mays immediate family will be priority. Please consider the ages and health of some of the family members so we do not put them at further risk to their health. We have asked for the sound to be louder for those of you who will possibly be outside the boundary of the actual cemetery.
