25.01.2022 CAPE TRIBULATION DAINTREE A bit late on this post. Was a massive day. A lot of driving but worth it to get to cape trib. Seeing the crocs and baby crocs on the Daintree river was awesome. This big bad boy had just finished eating a wild pig. He’ll likely not move for 4 days as he needs to consume the energy. If he moves too suddenly he’ll throw the pig back up. The baby croc lies there for weeks as movement basically means death (a bird will likely prey on it) Unfortunately no cassowary sightings but plenty of other wildlife

24.01.2022 AIRLIE BEACH We love this place. Best of everything. We did a day trip with ocean rafting out to Whitehaven beach. The colours are amazing. We were lucky enough to get a site here as it’s really busy on the north east coast right now. Can’t wait to go back

05.01.2022 CAIRNS We’ve bases ourselves here for 6 nights. It was the pinnacle of our trip. We couldn’t wait to get here and it did not disappoint. On our way to cairns we stopped off at a few amazing FNQ sites. Babinda bolders abd Josephine falls. Fresh but so nice to swim amongst nature.... We did a day trip to Kuranda on the historic train and sky rail. Amazing views. You can’t swim at the beaches here, always crocs around. There is a waterfront lagoon which was a big hit with the kids. The resort we stayed in was one of the best we’ve been to. So much entertainment for the kids. Now time to head south and return home ()

01.01.2022 FITZROY ISLAND Wow!!! So glad we decided to take a day trip to this island. Felt like we were in another country. We spend the afternoon snorkeling with turtles stingrays and lots of large fish . We’ve got a really cool snorkel board with a viewing platform built in to it so the kids could see everything (although they both had a go at using goggles and a mask too) Sophie and I followed 2 turtles for ages watching them interact with the fish and feed off the coral. Great... spot for a sunset drink too See comments for other drone videos, look closely for the turtle
