24.01.2022 TAKE A BOW NSWTAKE A BOW! 4.5 BILLION CONTAINERS COLLECTED thru Return and Earn since December 2017 Return and Earn has contributed to an average 40 per cent annual reduction in drink container litter in New South Wales, with more than 420,000 tonnes of materials recycled since it launched in December 2017 Unlikely to see the same results if VIC's proposed new Container Deposit Scheme is run by Coca Cola and Lion.... 16.01.2022 Did you know 2/3 of Victorians want recycling companies to manage the 10c container deposit scheme? Let’s make sure @danielandrewsmp and @lilydambrosiomp give the people what they want! 15.01.2022 Recycling should be easy! We shouldn’t have to travel far to cash in our cans The most successful 10c container deposit schemes have refund points in easy-to-access locations and are open daily throughout the week. Surely Victorians deserve this? Our friends Clean Up Australia agree!... 02.01.2022 VICTORA, the four-week public consultation period about who should run our state’s 10c container deposit scheme is OPEN! After years of campaigning, Victoria is finally getting a CDS that will help keep our parks, beaches and footpaths clean while providing much-needed fundraising opportunities for thousands of community groups, sporting clubs and charities. While the government has recommended that an independent operator runs the scheme, we know the makers of Coke, X...XXX and Powerade are fighting for their own, inferior version. In states where beverage giants have total control over the CDS, we’ve seen lower container return rates. It’s essential we don’t allow the beverage industry’s focus on profit to contaminate the Victorian CDS. We have three weeks to make sure we get this right Victoria. Sign our petition today to say yes to a clean CDS: https://bit.ly/3oXGIMy #RecyclerightVictoria #StopBigBeverage #SayYesCDS

01.01.2022 Split responsibility VS producer responsibility. Why does the type of CDS matter? Let us break it down for you, VIC. A split responsibility model splits governance between network operators and industry A producer responsibility model is controlled by big beverage producers that don’t prioritise recycling ... If you want to keep Victoria’s CDS out of the hands of big beverage companies, sign our petition today https://bit.ly/3oXGIMy #RecyclerightVictoria #SayYesCDS #StopBigBeverage
