24.01.2022 A notice from Fassifern Coaches: 1. All students travelling on board our buses NOT to use any form of aerosol sprays. Two of our drivers have allergies to the...se products and as such we have a strict ban on using aerosol sprays onboard. On Thursday 20th February we had an incident where a student sprayed a large amount of deodorant from an aerosol can in the bus and caused our driver to have an asthma attack and required treatment. 2. After school transport to Football in Harrisville. All students who wish to travel on our services to Harrisville on Bus 7, for Football training, are required to purchase a $7 ticket (one way).

04.01.2022 Clarification: Service station proposal - Coronation Drive The Guardian sought some clarification from Council on the proposed Service Station on the former Dav...id Evans Machinery Yard site. The only application Council has received from the developer, Betty Boop Investments Pty Ltd, is for the construction of a small service station shop (80m2 gross floor area), four fuel pump bowsers and 67 carparking spaces. While the information contained in the application document indicates possible future plans for the site (see earlier post on this page) the developer will need to submit further applications for those plans if they decide to go forward. The 2 hectare block of land is zoned industrial and a service station is a consistant use under that zoning. This means there is no obligation for the developer to publicly advertise the proposed development. But residents can still make a submission to Council, for or against, the proposal. To be approved, the development will have to conform with all the extensive regulatory and code requirements for the construction of a service station. The new State Government Planning policy requires that in the case of a consistant use, once the assessment process starts, the Council has 35 days to make a decision - if Council does not meet that timeframe then the development proposal will be deemed by the State Government as having been approved. The 35 day timeframe begins once all the State Government departments have responded to the referrals.
