Cec and Jan Miles have been down visiting her. Cec took this photo of Lisa with Lexie in her baby carrier to show our members what she bought with the present our members gave her. We miss you Lisa.

20.01.2022 Last Thursday night at our weekly meeting, we were privileged to have as our guests two BOONAH High School Interactors. President Courtney Host and Secretary Kayla Gibson. Courtney’s mother Danay also attended. Along with Lisa Humphrey the Grade 11 hospitality teacher from the school who is very involved with the club. Interact is part of the Rotary International projects where students at high school participate in fund raising activities to assist various other organisations. The Interact club at BOONAH High was started in 1988. It is a very active club although small and our Rotary club is very proud of the way the club is running. Felix Grayson the youth director for our club gave background information on how Interact came into being and told us of what the BOONAH high school club had achieved. Well done to you all.

20.01.2022 Last Thursday night the Boonah Rotary Club had it’s weekly meeting at the Fassisfern Bombers Rugby League clubhouse in Harrisville. We were hosted by the football club to thank us for the water station we donated to them. It was a great night. Good food, raffles and laughter while the boys trained on the field. It is such a great feeling to give to our community.

18.01.2022 Boonah Rotary took the 100 year of Rotary in Australia Relay Baton down town this morning. It drew public interest and helped to sell more tickets in our Easter Raffle. We look forward to handing it over to Beaudesert Rotary Club on Sunday at their Stationhouse which is holding it’s monthly Cars and Coffee Day.

17.01.2022 End polio NOW!!! That is Rotary’s greatest wish. We are 99.9% there. Our club was honoured to receive this award for the highest polio donation in our District 9640 in 2019-2020.

13.01.2022 A great day was had by all at the annual Rotary Charity Golf Day held at BOONAH Golf Course yesterday. Many thanks for those who came and supported us to make it such a successful day. Look forward to seeing you next year on the last Saturday of August. Put it in your diary now.

13.01.2022 Recently Boonah Rotary Club had a working bee to clean out our main Rotary Bar at the Showgrounds. Every year it gets a clean before the show but as the show was cancelled this year, we decided to give it a spruce up anyway. We had a sausage sizzle after the work was completed. It is wonderful to have some young blood in the club. We intend to have some bbq meetings there to enable us to raise money for our projects.

13.01.2022 President Kristine of the BOONAH Rotary Club passed the 100 years of Rotary in Australia Relay Baton, over to Beaudesert Rotary Club President Tammy. 07.01.2022 We don’t ever want to see the effects of polio throughout the world again. It has nearly been eradicated except for a few cases in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Rotary will not stop until this terrible disease is totally gone.
