25.01.2022 We have six Spear Lillies flowering for the first time in twenty years. Just one of the interesting Native Plants you will see when you visit our Boongala Gardens on one of the next two, four day weekends. Rainforest and Bush Tucker Tours 11am and 1.30pm.



24.01.2022 Our Grevillea Flamingo with its beautiful bird attracting Flowers and tall weeping habit.

24.01.2022 Beautiful large pink flowers on the Fraser Island Creeper ( Tecomanthe Hillii ) brightens up our Rainforest at this time of year.

23.01.2022 A nice Bouquet and Gift Box arrangement of Aussie Native flowers we cut from our gardens this morning. Banksias, Grevilleas, Wattle, Paper Daisies, Kangaroo Paw and Gum Tips.

22.01.2022 In Gardening Australias show last night, most of Costas introductions to some of the stories were filmed in our Boongala Gardens.

21.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers out there. We were very busy today with our $20 bunches of Aussie flowers for Mothers Day. All picked from our gardens.

21.01.2022 Costa and the ABC crew were back again today. Standing by one of our Kurrajong trees. I joined Costa on a Live Rainforest and Bush Tucker walk and talk for his Facebook Page.

20.01.2022 Thank you to all the visitors that came to Boongala this Autumn. Hope to see you all again when we open in Spring. Hibiscus geranoides putting on a show at the moment, with the grey foliaged Acacia baileyana prostrate form in the background.

18.01.2022 Our Grevillea Bipinnatifida attracts plenty of Honeyeaters and Native Bees. Also attracts plenty of admirers when they visit our gardens.



18.01.2022 Theres a touch of Gold in the Gardens at the moment. Grevillea Golden Lyre in the foreground, Melaleuca Revolution Gold in the background.

18.01.2022 We have a good crop of tasty Aussie Raspberries ( Rubus Probus ) this season. Plenty of these and other Bush Tucker plants for sale when our gardens open from the 28th August.

17.01.2022 Thank you to all the visitors that came to Boongala this Autumn. Hope you can visit us again in Spring. Hibiscus geranoides putting on a real display this season. The grey foliaged Acacia baileyana prostrate form in the background adds character to the gardens.

16.01.2022 Our Boongala Native Gardens are open for the next two weekends, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Lots of Bush Tucker Plants for sale. Native Raspberries and Finger Limes shown below. Selling a large range of Aussie Bush Tucker shrubs including Native Plums, Native Guava, Midyim Berries, Lemon Myrtle, Aniseed Myrtle, Currie Myrtle, Native Ginger and plenty more. Also a large range of Bird and Native Bee attracting Native Plants.

15.01.2022 Our Firewheel Tree has a few late flowers to admire. Our Gardens will be open from the 28th August to 28th September.

15.01.2022 Hundreds of visitors this season. The gardens are looking great with plenty of colour. Rainforest and Bush Tucker Tours are very popular leaving at 11am and 1.30pm. Plenty of room to be Covid Safe.

13.01.2022 The garden is starting to show a lot of colour for our Spring opening which starts on the 28th August. We will be open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays for four weekends. 10am to 4pm. Large collection of Aussie Native Plants for sale. Rainforest and Bush Tucker Tours leave at 11am and 1.30pm. We will be practicing Covid Safety.

13.01.2022 Our Boongala Gardens will be shown on Gardening Australia on the ABC next Friday night. These Leptospernum Flavescens Cardwell are looking great at the moment. Next Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday are the last four days our Boongala Gardens will be open this season.

12.01.2022 Some of the Boongala Native Animals we created from corrugated iron which was salvaged from the old poultry sheds which once stood on the property.

06.01.2022 Unbelievable flowers on our Firewheel tree. (Stenocarpus Sinuatus). Flowers look great in floral arrangements as well.

05.01.2022 Doryanthes palmeri flower has taken five weeks to fully open, what a show! First flowers for twenty five years. Flowers are full of nectar for the bees and birds.

04.01.2022 Our Hibiscus insularis really turns heads with its Yellow and Pink flowers. Native to Phillip Island, part of the Norfolk Island group.
